Sutton death

Let’s begin with the obvious: a well-known side effect of Covid is death. So what are we to make of this: Careful, medicines can also be poisons?

Hydroxychloroquine has the well-known side effects of heart arrhythmias and the risk of blindness with prolonged use.

And to whom do we owe this useless bit of knowledge. No one seems to want to take full responsibility.

This opinion was written by Alastair Stewart, director of the ARC Centre for Personalised Therapeutics Technologies, in collaboration with his University of Melbourne colleagues Phillip Reece, honorary senior fellow, department of pharmacology and therapeutics; David Story, deputy director, Centre for Integrated Critical Care; and Megan Munsie, deputy director, Centre for Stem Cell Systems.

So here is the first of the comments listed according to best liked:

IS HYDROXCHLOROQUINE EFFECTIVE FOR TREATING COVID ?

Listen to Dr. Harvey Risch Professor of Epidemiology in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health at Yale ……

‘’I conclude the evidence is overwhelming, there is no question that for the people who need to be treated and are treated early, it has a very substantial benefit in reducing risk of hospitalisation or mortality.

‘’And there’s been a massive disinformation campaign that stretches from government to the media that’s either suppressing this message or id countering it with a false message.

‘’I’m not an expert in the reasons why that’s happening other than just observing it. But I am an expert in the science, and I can tell you the science is all one-side sided. ‘’In fact the science is so one-sided in supporting this result that it’s stronger than anything else I’ve ever studied in my entire career.

‘’The evidence in favour of Hydroxychloroquine benefit in high risk patients treated early as out-patients is stronger than anything else I’ve ever studied. So scientifically there is no question whatsoever ever.’’

But what would this Professor know ?

Suppose we just ask those elderly folks lying sick in hospital whether they would like to try the HCQ procedure.

Meanwhile it has occurred to me that too much focus has been put on the rank incompetence of Daniel Andrews. He is after all a man with limited intelligence and no expertise in virtually everything he legislates about. It is this cypher Brett Sutton. What expertise does he have in creating such massive damage to the people of Victoria? He needs to take more of the blame for the idiotic policies of Victoria. There are lots of considerations that go into making a policy and focusing only on the disease and ignoring everything else is idiocy on stilts.

Why are our politicians not allowing HCQ to be used in Australia?

It is quite clear that the Chinese flu has become the decisive issue in American politics. Whether we are in a genuine pandemic and whether Donald Trump has taken the right approach or ought to have handled it differently is the one last issue available to the Democrats. Nothing Trump can do or say will ever receive the slightest approval from either the American media or anyone on the left who wishes to see Trump lose the election. Republican states continue to open their economies up and Democrat states continue to lock them down. The Russian hoax was virtually never mentioned during the Democrat National Convention when it had been the single most important issue for the past three years. It’s gone, and CV-1984 has taken its place.

So we have this now: PLASMA TREATMENT EVOKES POLITICAL RESPONSE. Yet another approach to dealing with the virus has been recommended by the President and the left-media have gone berserk once again.

Last night, President Trump announced that the FDA has granted emergency authorization to use plasma from patients who have recovered from COVID-19 to treat others who have contracted the disease. Plasma-based treatments have been in the works for some time, and the Mayo Clinic has carried out an extended test of the type of therapy the FDA approved yesterday.

To my knowledge, there are no safety concerns relating to plasma treatments, but critics were quick to claim that there is insufficient evidence of efficacy to support the expedited approval. As usual, the reaction to Trump’s announcement was political, not medical:

“The FDA must approve drugs or vaccines based on their safety and effectiveness – NOT political pressure from the White House,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tweeted on Saturday. “The President’s dangerous attempt to inject himself into the scientific decisions of [U.S. FDA] jeopardizes the health & well-being of all Americans.”

There is no doubt whatsoever that HCQ was condemned across the American media and the American left precisely because Donald Trump had spoken positively about the lives it might save. But that is American politics, and it is as obvious as anything one might have ever observed in the world of politics. My question is this: why is this same issue playing out politically in other countries, and in particular, why has Australia forbidden the use of HCQ for treating Covid?

You would think that how we treated the virus was in some way related to the American election which obviously it is not. Yet we allow people to die without allowing our own doctors to apply HCQ to people who might have otherwise recovered. This is both sickening and inexplicable. Let me quote Terry McCrann on this issue who is as puzzled as I am: Waiting for Godot, from one pandemic debacle to the next.

Further and more critically, there is arguably a better way if we were to actively embrace the two treatment protocols which have been shown to work in other places: Donald Trump’s hydroxychloroquine plus zinc and Thomas Borody’s ivermectin plus zinc.

Instead, we have seen an extraordinary, nothing short of hysterical, blitz to demonise the first; and now a move by the TGA to kill the second lest it gain some sort of toehold. Borody is being ‘investigated’ for potentially “breaching the ban on advertising COVID-19 treatments”.

Is that not exactly another example of the mandatory stupidity design feature? A blanket ban on advertising a virus treatment? In other words, shut up and just take whatever the “experts” dish out to you — even, mandatorily.

If HCQ plus zinc and ivermectin plus zinc — I have to keep stressing the “plus zinc”, because all, and I mean all, the trials that have “proved” HCQ does not work, have been trials that did not include zinc, the critical joint component — do actually work, even if not to Borody’s claimed 100 per cent for ivermectin, we have a wide open doorway out of the economic-virus nightmare.

We could turn the virus into an irritation. We could open up the economy, and treat anyone testing positive for the virus, just like we do for any other disease/injury.

So why aren’t we doing that? We are not part of the American political world so why are we not just using the tools we have available to cure people who are otherwise being allowed to die? Our politicians have a lot to answer for.

The truth about the Charlottesville demo

Was reminded by The Outsiders today – during which they gave our very own Alan Moran twenty minutes to discuss the multi-billion dollar cost of green energy to Australian consumers – but also discussed the outright lies of the media and the American left over what Donald Trump had said about the demonstrators in Charlottesville in 2017. No lie ever grows old and cold on the left since they are utterly closed to reason and debate. Joe McCarthy in the early 1950s was absolutely right about communist infiltrators in the American State Department, which has been proven beyond any possibility of refutation – see <a href=”https://www.c-span.org/video/?201983-1/blacklisted-history”>Blacklisted by History</a> by N. Stanton Evans if you are still in any doubt.

That the left lies without impunity – counting on the ignorance and will to disbelieve of their voting sub-class – is perfectly demonstrated by the distortions and outright lies that have been embedded within their communal mythology. They will still be saying the same in fifty years from now and will be being repeated by the same clueless clowns then as are repeating it now.

Here is the actual press conference:

There were a lot of lessons learnt by the President about the media he was dealing with on that day. I just wish more people appreciated that if you read it in the mainstream press or hear it on the mainstream media, you must assume an anti-Trump bias that will be evident at least 90% of the time if you do any research yourself, and obviously research that is outside what has been reported by the mainstream media itself.

<strong>AND FROM OF ALL PLACES:</strong> <a href=”https://www.breitbart.com/the-media/2020/08/23/bbc-fact-checks-joe-biden-for-charlottesville-very-fine-people-hoax/”>BBC Fact-checks Joe Biden for Charlottesville ‘Very Fine People’ Hoax</a>.

<blockquote>In <a href=”https://www.breitbart.com/2020-election/2020/08/20/fact-check-joe-biden-repeats-the-very-fine-people-hoax-at-dnc/”>reality</a&gt;, Trump said the neo-Nazis should be “condemned totally,” a fact that was <a href=”https://www.breitbart.com/2020-election/2019/08/08/watch-breitbart-news-confronts-joe-biden-about-misquoting-trump-on-charlottesville/”>brought directly to Biden’s attention</a> more than a year ago.

Biden persists in making the false claim, and the U.S. media did not fact-check it Thursday. But the BBC <a class=”x5l” href=”https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-53858940&#8243; target=”_blank” rel=”noopener external noreferrer”>did</a> (original emphasis):

<blockquote><strong>Claim 3: President Trump said there were “very fine people on both sides”, when asked about a far-right rally in 2017.</strong>

Mr Biden said one of his goals would be to “wipe out the stain of racism” and he recalled the far-right protests in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2017 which led to violent clashes and left one counter-protester dead.

He said: “Remember what the President said when asked, he said there were, quote, very fine people on both sides”.

Mr Biden said that after this moment “I knew I had to run” for president.

According to a <a class=”story-body__link-external x5l” href=”https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/remarks-president-trump-infrastructure/&#8221; target=”_blank” rel=”noopener external noreferrer”>transcript of a press conference</a> on 15 August, President Trump did say – when asked about the presence of neo-Nazis at the rally – “you had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides.”

During the same press conference, Mr Trump went on to say “I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally.”</blockquote>
Most major media outlets — including Fox News — failed to point out that Biden was lying Thursday.</blockquote>

The left never forgets, especially the things that never happened.

What you will never see in the media about the Dem Convention

Dissecting Obama’s Delusional DNC Speech
Barack Obama’s speech at the DNC’s misbegotten cyber-convention worked only for those Americans, including most in the media, who paid no serious attention to the eight years of Obama’s presidency. (snip) What follows are some of the riffs that I, and likely they, found most entertaining. Obama began by telling us the Constitution “wasn’t a perfect document,” implying that he would have done better had he been there. (snip) Here was one of my favorite Obama lines: “Joe knows the world, and the world knows him.” No one denies that, especially not the Russian and Ukrainian oligarchs.
`

Biracial Kamala’s appeal to the Dems’ African American base?
[Disclaimer: the author makes no pretense of speaking for African Americans. All who believe that racial heritage dictates the parameters of acceptable speech are cautioned to read no further. Any triggering that results from continuing beyond this point is solely the responsibility of the reader.] Does anyone believe that if she were white, Kamala Harris would have been chosen as Joe Biden’s veep? (snip) Kamala Harris, daughter of Tamil and Jamaican immigrants, was deemed by Biden’s handlers to be acceptably melanin-rich. After all, Barack Obama was also biracial and passed muster
`

Biden Repeats Charlottesville Lie in Dishonest and Divisive DNC Acceptance Speech
Former Vice President Joe Biden formally accepted the Democratic Party’s nomination for president Thursday night in a deeply dishonest speech that repeated the Charlottesville lie.Biden never misses an opportunity to fulminate against the torch-carrying neo-nazis and their bulging veins, but besides lying about President Trump’s “very fine people” comment, he also grossly mischaracterized the events of that day to suggest that the violent antifa and BLM counter-protesters were—well—very fine people.“History has thrust one more urgent task on us,” Biden said toward the end of his divisive speech. “Will we be the generation that finally wipes out the stain of racism
`

The DNC stands for ‘Did Not See!’
Admit it — you didn’t watch any of the just-completed Democrat convention from the basement. Neither did I. All these seventy- and eighty-year-old hacks — if I want reruns from the 60’s and 70’s, I’ll just watch MeTV. I get it — Democrats don’t like Orange Man Bad. Trump is an “existential” threat, as the governor of New Mexico (among many others) said. These people want to raise my taxes, open the borders, take away my health insurance and give it to illegal aliens for free, make sure those rolling blackouts in California go nationwide, defund the police, wreck my neighborhood and let all the rapists and murderers out of prison
`

Convention Wrap Up: Dems Keep Joe Biden’s Agenda Hidden In The Basement
A live audience wasn’t the only thing missing from the Democratic National Convention this year. So too was any substantive discussion of Joe Biden’s agenda should he win the White House. Has there ever been a political convention so utterly devoid of substance? In her mercifully brief speech on Wednesday, Hillary Clinton said that: “Everyone has a story about Joe’s thoughtfulness and empathy.” Apparently, team Biden required everyone who spoke at the convention to tell their stories. Almost none made it through their few minutes or airtime without exclaiming how empathetic, thoughtful, trustworthy — and other descriptions you normally hear at
`

Rolling blackouts, no Uber, businesses flee — California is Democrats’ dream for America
After spending the bulk of his lieutenant governorship waging war against California’s last remaining nuclear power plant, Gov. Gavin Newsom is begging residents to turn up their thermostats as the state battles excruciating heat waves, roaring wildfires, and now, state-sanctioned blackouts to preserve its worst-in-America power grid. California’s power is not as carbon-efficient as clean nuclear energy, nor is it as cheap as traditional mass fossil fuels. If you’re looking to drink your problems away at your favorite dive bar, too bad; Newsom shut the indoor dining rooms. If you want to sit on a patio, you have to seek out the establishments that survived the state’s shutdown.
`

Hatred, Prejudice and Rage
That phrase is President Trump’s, and it sums up today’s Democratic Party very well. This highly effective ad focuses on the Democrats’ tyrannical efforts to control every aspect of our lives:(Snip for tweet with link) I am becoming increasingly optimistic about this year’s election. It seems obvious that the Democrats have gone far overboard, and are alienating huge segments of the electorate. There is indeed a pro-arson, pro-looting faction, but it can hardly comprise a majority. The Democrats seem to think that Trump hatred can drag even a pitiful candidate like Joe Biden across the finish line, but Americans have never been haters. Not a majority of them, anyway.

Final Day of the Democrat Pros and Cons — As PR Pros Combine to Con America
Julia Louis-Dreyfus has played a make-believe Vice President on TV. She begins our night by sharing small talk with Andrew Yang, the recently failed Democrat presidential candidate. Their repartee falls flat. Clunk. Julia tries to be funny. She mocks the pronunciation of Mike Pence’s name, with the implication that conservatives will reject Kamala Harris because her first name is not a classic White Anglo-Saxon Protestant name. But it simply does not resonate. We have elected for President someone with the name “Barack.” Someone with the name “Hussein.” Even someone with the name “Obama.” Twice. So, no, it is not about an exotic name.

Hunter Biden Vouches For Joe
Biden’s Honesty During DNC
Hunter Biden and his younger sister Ashley Biden lauded their father for his honesty, care and principles during the Democratic National Convention Thursday night. “We want to tell you what kind of president our dad will be,” Hunter said. The two siblings go on to describe their father’s admirable characteristics. “He will be tough,” Ashley said. “And honest.” “He’ll tell you the truth when you don’t want to hear it,” she added(Tweet/Video) President Donald Trump criticized Hunter over his work with the Ukrainian gas company Burisma Holdings while his father, former Vice President Joe Biden, pressured the country’s former president to fire a prosecutor who was investigating the firm.

Donald Trump discusses the Democrat Convention

It lasts over an hour but you get the point early and can stop even after only ten minutes and understand much of what he is getting at. Below is Slow Joe’s acceptance speech which I haven’t been able to steel myself to watch.

First response.

HAVING WATCHED BIDEN’S SPEECH: It was the most dishonest speech I have ever heard. Not just platitudes, although there were plenty of those. Not just insincerity, because there was lots of that. It was a speech crafted out of the same lies that brought Obama into the presidency – built out of what most people would like, but without a policy proposal to bring any of it around. I can only hope what once worked for Obama will not work here, that they will not be suckered a third time, and that a gap large enough for Donald Trump to overcome the level of cheating will be the final result.

Five PDT ads

It’s just starting but here we begin with this: Five Trump Ads. You should go to the link to see them all, but here’ one.

How anyone can even think of voting for Biden and Harris is beyond me. Not just no sense of danger, but no sense at all. And you might also have a look at this: The Biden-Harris Levitation which begins:

Each week in the inexorable march to Election Day, it becomes more challenging to believe how the campaign is unfolding and to rationalize it as a serious process for choosing the leader of the world’s greatest nation. After some reflection, it becomes clear that the extreme improbability of this process is the result of it not really being a race between two pairs of candidates for national office. It is surely the last round in the great battle between Donald Trump and the national political media.

Trump’s ostensible opponents, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, are a spavined political wheel-horse who came in fifth in the New Hampshire primary and a vice presidential nominee who flamed out ignominiously two months before the Iowa caucuses. They are a matched pair of bombed-out losers; Biden was retrieved by the party elders in desperation that otherwise the Democratic candidate would be Marxist Senator Bernie Sanders. They salvaged Biden and Biden salvaged Harris from the pre-primary ash heap.

Democracy is undoubtedly the worst form of political system except for all of the others that have been tried from time to time.

LET ME ADD THIS FROM INSTAPUNDIT:

MICHAEL ANTON: THE CASE FOR TRUMP.

Yes, President Trump enjoys the overwhelming loyalty of Republican voters—but his hold on Republican donors, and especially officials, is much more tenuous. He ran against them and won—and most of them will never forgive him. They play nice to his face and undermine him behind his back. That’s before we even get to the ones in open rebellion. No president—Democrat or Republican—has ever come to power facing organized efforts by his own party’s middle management to tally lists of people declaring on the record that under no circumstances will they work for the incoming administration. It’s been hard, to say the least, to staff up when a good chunk of the party is dead-set against their leader, and nearly all the rest spent their careers furthering policies diametrically opposed to those he ran—and won—on.

And that’s just President Trump’s ostensible own side. Then factor in all his open enemies from the other party, and virtually every other power center in our society, plus the steadfast opposition of the so-called “deep state”—i.e., the very federal bureaucrats whom he was elected to oversee and direct. Viewed from this angle, one may fairly wonder how it’s been possible for him to accomplish anything at all.

More fundamentally: where do you think the country would be without him?

In the crapper.

PLUS THIS COMMENT:

Peter Smith

Generally, I am cynical about blaming governments and absolving the populace that puts them there. For example, many say, it’s not the Chinese people who are to blame but their communist government. I don’t buy it. There is usually something rotten in a culture that produces corrupt or despotic government. America faces a test in November. If Biden and Harris are elected it will say a lot about the drift of the American population, taken as a whole, towards the dark side. This might be put down to immigration and the changing racial and cultural makeup of the population. However, there are too many multigenerational Americans sticking to the Dems as they drift further and further to the woke left to blame it on immigration. We shall see. The result will tell us whether western civilisation is likely doomed or whether there is still a chance.

Here’s the question

And if you don’t like this question we have others just as important.

Found here where there’s plenty more along the same lines.

Democrat National Convention begins today

That’s Katie Hopkins with a summary of what’s in store. And this is Rush Limbaugh with some commentary of his own.

RUSH: The Democrat National Convention kicks off. Chris Wallace was on Fox over the weekend. It might have been last Friday. Anyway, Chris Wallace is stunned. He’s never seen this before. Damnedest thing I’ve ever seen. He said Biden is trying to hide from everybody all the way through Election Day. He said he’s done conventions, he’s been covering conventions since 1988.

You know what? That’s the year this program began. Chris Wallace has been covering Democrat conventions — well, political conventions for as long as I have been behind the Golden EIB Microphone. He said this is the first time in his career that a political candidate, a nominee, has not done an interview with major media the day before his party’s convention is to begin.

He said: “So I’ve been doing Sunday shows with conventions. I started on Meet the Press in 1988. I’ve been doing it on and off. Thirty two years. And it always happens that the Sunday before the convention. The campaign puts out top officials to preview the convention and to say this is what we’re gonna try to get accomplished. So, you know, we put counting all week on, you know, having a top official from the Biden campaign, the campaign manager, the top pollster, the chief strategist.” Those are the people that you get. They come on, they talk about what they’re gonna talk about during the week, and they set it up. They’re not putting anybody out.

The Biden campaign put nobody out yesterday or today, including the candidate. And Wallace said, “Well, maybe it’s ’cause we’re Fox News and they hate Fox News.” And then he said, “No, it’s not that because they’re not putting ’em anywhere. They’re not putting anybody out on any of the Sunday shows yesterday.

Chris Wallace says, “I don’t understand what’s going on here. This is the damnedest thing I’ve ever seen, that you would, you know, you’re basically giving a campaign. And as I say, it’s a traditional thing. We’re gonna do it for the Republicans a week from Sunday.”

The Biden campaign isn’t putting anybody out. Anybody want to take a guess why? Now, there’s all kinds of reasons why, but they’re not confident, basically. I’m telling you, folks, everything you’ve heard up to now about Biden being up 10, 12, 13, eight points, whatever, throw it away. It was never accurate. It was never true. And the fact that they are very reluctant and recalcitrant and they don’t want to take advantage of promoting their convention – on the friendly networks, ABC, CBS, NBC, they’re not going there either

It’s something of a laugh, but these people could yet cheat their way to “victory”.
