Two related stories

Two articles on Jews just came my way across the net, each with a story of its own but each with a very different theme. First this, which may be of more general interest: This wasn’t a political protest – it was shameful mob behaviour. This is the sub-head to tell you what it is about: “The hounding of Tzipi Hotovely [Israel’s ambassador to Britain] confirmed how prejudiced anti-Israel sentiment has become”. I will draw only one para from the story but you can read the rest for yourself if it interests you.

It is very difficult to watch something like the mob harassment of Ms Hotovely and not wonder if this is more an outburst of prejudice than a display of political displeasure. It is difficult to know for a fact that Israeli representatives like Ms Hotovely are always singled out for special opprobrium, treated virtually as the most evil political actors in the world, and not consider that there is at least an element of anti-Semitism here. It is hard to see Israel constantly being talked up as the most toxic nation on Earth – as the puppeteer of Western imperialism, the bringer of doom to global affairs – and not contemplate the possibility that for some people the Jewish State now plays the same role the Jews once played. That is, it is viewed as a singularly malevolent entity, controlling world affairs, consumed by bloodlust.

Brendan O’Neill should be commended for this article, but he unfortunately is near unique on seeing this issue for what it is.

The second article is by Juliet Moses with a perhaps enigmatic title – Sorry, that’s not a holocaust – in which she tries to point out that the word itself represents a unique and terrifying moment in history for which no comparisons are possible or legitimate. She is reacting to the following statement:

” Trans people are in the middle of a holocaust’.”

This is the point she is trying to make.

The ramifications of the Holocaust are ongoing. The Jewish worldwide population (some 15 million) is still not back to pre-Holocaust levels. Survivors still live. Research continues; documents, artefacts and photos are unearthed. Alleged Nazis go on trial or live undetected. Restitution claims persist. Yet, at the same time, there is increasing Holocaust denial and trivialisation. Since the pandemic, invoking the Holocaust for political point-scoring has reached absurd heights. The more it is universalised, the more its weight and meaning are devalued and the more the unique Jewish experience is erased….

When people who are not victims of the Holocaust use that word to describe their experience, a comparison of suffering inevitably ensues. I don’t want to get into a victimhood competition. I don’t know what it is like to be transgender, but I do know they are not suffering a ‘holocaust’ in any way the word has ever been used. Their experience is unique, and different to Jewish people, black people, or anyone else, and will vary between themselves. That experience should be respected, but not at the expense of or through the erasure of others’ experience or the appropriation of others’ suffering.

One of the major reasons for recalling The Holocaust is to ensure that a similar horror does not recur, which specifically relates to the murder of Jews because they are Jews. That is why this second story is so closely related to the first.

Scott Morrison is the best political leader in the world right now

All political leaders must deal with the world as they find it. They can shift some things, and change some views here and there. But over all, they have to take the world as they find it. Climate change is, in my view, an absolute hoax and I can say that whenever I like and to whom I please. But if I were the leader of a political party hoping to find a majority within the Parliament, I might, just perhaps, keep these views to myself. Scott Morrison has not confided in me what he actually believes about climate change. But let me tell you, his approach to dealing with the politics of the moment could not, in my view, be better than it is. Here is the speech from The Herald-Sun he gave the other day, ‘Can-Do’ Capitalism is Our Way, which is a cut-down version of what he actually presented: Address – Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Let me pick out a few bits that appear in both versions so that you can see what I mean. He begins with boilerplate but then moves into policy. It is the policy I sincerely admire.
Taking action on climate change is extremely important for the health of our planet…. Australia has already reduced our emissions by more than 20 per cent. Now, I’m not sure a lot of Australians know that. Our emissions are going down, not up. They’re down by more than 20 per cent. You may say to yourself, or others listening in, ‘Oh yeah, other countries, they’re doing so much better than that’. Not true, as Angus Taylor and I had the opportunity to share directly with them, whether it was in Rome at the G20 or at COP26, because a 20 per cent fall is broadly in line with what’s being achieved across the EU. But, it’s better than the United States, it’s better than Japan, it’s better than our Kiwi cousins across the ditch in New Zealand, in Canada and South Korea…. Just as the animal spirits of enterprise have worked together with scientists and technologists to change the world in the past – and we’ve seen that here in this very city – through advances in medical science and digital technology, I am more than convinced they also hold the answer to solving the challenge of a decarbonised economy…. In many respects, Glasgow has marked the passing of the baton … to private enterprise and the millions of dispersed decisions, choices and flashes of inspiration that make up consumer-led technological progress…. We believe climate change will ultimately be solved by ‘can do’ capitalism; not ‘don’t do’ Governments seeking to control people’s lives and tell them what to do, with interventionist regulation and taxes that just force up your cost of living and force businesses to close…. I think Australians, after almost two years of governments telling them what to do through this pandemic, they’ve had just about enough of that approach…. What you can take from that is we’ll reset, back to letting our economy do the work and let those who drive it be able to do that work as quickly as we possibly can.
You cannot imagine any other political leader of the moment – not Joe Biden, not Boris Johnson, not Justin Trudeau, not Jacinda Adearn – putting in a good word for capitalism and the market economy at any time, never mind while discussing climate change. Uniquely brave, and what’s more, uniquely accurate in what must be done since something must be done to appease the climate-change gods.

Remembrance Day where there’s a lot to remember

Watching the efforts of various state governments in dealing with Covid has, on this day especially, brought this to mind: The conscription issue in Australia. The Covid question at the moment centres on the question of what rights we individually have to refuse the experimental and often dangerous vaxxines that are now being made almost mandatory across the country. Yet this is what happened when on a previous occasion Australian governments wished to send its citizens into harm’s way.

Unlike the other countries engaged in World War I, conscription was not introduced in Australia.  All the Australians who fought in World War I were volunteers.

Prime Minister Billy Hughes made two attempts to introduce conscription: two conscription referenda were held in 1916 and 1917. Both lost to the ‘no’ vote. Feelings on the issue ran high and bitterly divided the community. While many politicians favoured conscription, it was strongly opposed by many in the community.

Also came across this which seems closely related. The story is about Victoria although the American website where this is discussed writes as if it is Australia as a whole that is involved: [Victoria’s] Tyrannical Department of Health Raids Anti-Lockdown Doctor’s Clinic and Seizes Patient’s Confidential Files. How is this possible?

Seven authorized officials from Australia’s Department of Health raided Dr. Mark Hobart’s surgery clinic in Sunshine North on Wednesday afternoon and seized confidential patient files, an appointment book, and other documents after he refused to hand them over to the government….

“Seven authorized officers from the Department of Health and seized my confidential patient’s file and my appointment book and other various documents. They say they’re going to give me an itemized list of what they’ve taken and it was quite an intimidating experience.”…

The Health Department put up a notice on his clinic saying, “The Victorian Government has banned patients from entering this surgery because Dr. Hobart refused to surrender your private and confidential patient files.”

I suspect the story is garbled in a number of ways but the gist of it is sadly all too true. Haven’t seen any of this mentioned in the local press. Videos at the link.

PLUS THIS: Ethical Moorings, Where Art Thou? A very good article which discusses the morality of imposing a vaxxine-imperative.

When you’re threatened with the loss of your livelihood, indeed your entire career, you have been forced. When you’re denied a kidney transplant otherwise, you have been forced. When it’s the price you must pay to carry boxes of belongings into a retirement home for the benefit of an aging relative, you have been forced.

Any politician who thinks it’s OK to force people to submit to any kind of medical procedure is a tyrant. Such people deserve to be ejected from office asap. They are dangerous, because tomorrow they’ll be forcing us to do something else.

Any public health official or medically trained individual who thinks it’s OK to compel people to submit to any medical procedure has left first do no harm so far behind, their judgment concerning every other medical matter is forever suspect.

Of course, read it all at the link.

How can it be legal to force someone to take a medication that might end up doing them far more harm than good?

I am prefacing the post I have already put up with the above question which was in my mind when I came across this: Apology from PM, compensation among demands in lockdown legal challenge.

Court documents released to The Age show the applicants claim various public health orders were unconstitutional, beyond the legal power granted to federal and state governments, and that the circumstances in which some Australians were vaccinated under mandate policies constituted assault.

The particulars also say the recording of a person’s vaccination status in Victoria is in breach of the Fair Work Act 2009 and call for the Prime Minister to issue an apology for alleged deceptive conduct.

I will let the law take its course, but for me the issue is the immorality and ethical abuse that is at the core of our governments’ virtually demanding that each and every one of us take these vaxxines even though the evidence that there are potential dangers involved is absolutely clear.

That there is no recourse for free citizens to resist these efforts by our governments is a disgrace. If these vaxxines become for all intents and purposes mandatory, then we are living in a totalitarian state. What can the government not then demand? What are the limits of what a government can do with a majority in the Parliament? How is this a punishable offence in a free society?

After refusing to adhere to the terms, Ms Smit spent 22 days in prison before Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth Hollingworth varied her bail terms, removing several original conditions sought by police.

She stands accused of inciting people via social media by encouraging them to attend anti-lockdown protests in Melbourne in August, including ones where police were injured.

It’s all very well for others to say they have a fear that the unvaxxinated might transmit the disease to themselves. But others have the fear that getting vaxxinated might end up in itself doing themselves a great deal of physical harm. If this is not a human rights issue, then what is?

_________Original post began below

There must be other things going on besides the turning over of our world through the hysterical reaction to Covid, but I cannot think what that is. So keeping to the issue of the moment, let me begin with this: Hospitals in America, Australia And Sweden Are Swamped With People ‘Sicker Than Ever’ — And They Don’t Have Covid. It’s already becoming an old story, and once you have taken the vax there’s nothing left to do but wait. Still, why are our governments, media personalities, medical profession, never mind these pharmaceutical companies all pushing in this one direction with only a few of us out here keeping an eye on things like this:

“ERs are now swamped with seriously ill patients — but many don’t even have COVID,” Michigan Radio reported last week.

Inside the emergency department at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Mich., staff members are struggling to care for patients who are showing up much sicker than they’ve ever seen.

Tiffani Dusang, the emergency room’s nursing director, practically vibrates with pent-up anxiety, looking at all the patients lying on a long line of stretchers pushed up against the beige walls of the hospital’s hallways. “It’s hard to watch,” she says in her warm Texan twang.

But there’s nothing she can do. The ER’s 72 rooms are already filled.

[…] Even in parts of the country where COVID-19 isn’t overwhelming the health system, patients are showing up to the ER sicker than they were before the pandemic, their diseases more advanced and in need of more complicated care.

Months of treatment delays have exacerbated chronic conditions and worsened symptoms. Doctors and nurses say the severity of illness ranges widely and includes abdominal pain, respiratory problems, blood clots, heart conditions and suicide attempts, among others.

Australia is now reporting the same.

Plus: New VAERS analysis reveals hundreds of serious adverse events that the CDC and FDA never told us about.

The CDC and FDA have said the vaccines are “safe and effective.” They haven’t found any serious issues with the COVID vaccines. Zero. Zip. Nada. It was the DoD that found myocarditis.

The evidence in plain sight shows that they are either lying or incompetent. Or both. But of course, the medical community is never going to call them on this.

More at the link if you are game to look. Specially found this of interest: Covid ‘Vaccines’ Now Have Real-World Effectiveness of MINUS 73%.

The latest data from the U.K. Health Security Agency, which recently replaced Public Health England, shows that Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) “vaccines” have an average effectiveness rate of -73 percent in people over the age of 18.

This means that the jabs are actually making injected people lose their immunity to the Chinese Virus, not gain more of it. This fact runs contrary to false narrative being spread by the government and the mainstream media that Wuhan Flu injections are “safe and effective.”

As you may recall, Pfizer openly lied about its Chinese Flu injections, falsely claiming that they provide 95 percent effectiveness against the Fauci Flu. The company did this by blatantly manipulating its clinical trial data to produce artificial results.

Etc etc. Again more at the link. Plus: Dr. Reiner Fuellmich: scientific evidence that covid is crime against humanity.

On this page you can download dozens of scientific studies and investigative reports that confirm Dr Reiner Fuellmich’s claim that the pandemic is a crime against humanity. Share this scientific evidence with your own family practitioner, school teachers, medical staff, law enforcement, local authorities, etc.  Stop World Control has also created several in-depth reports that prove how the pandemic has been planned for decades.

Hard to believe, I know. Crackpot stuff, even if it’s true. Of course, if it is true, by the time you know, it won’t make any difference at all. Last one: Vaccine Makers Now Studying Why Vaccine Is Causing Heart Problems. Might have investigated sooner, like before they began injecting actual people with the vax, but there you go.

Our political leaders should not be able to make decisions on vaxxination

Who are any of the political leaders in Australia to tell any of us that we must get vaxxinated? These are political cyphers who for the moment lead governments, but are otherwise of no distinction. But now, of all things, the problems with the vax have crossed into the mainstream press, The Wall Street Journal no less: Covid-19 Vaccines and Myocarditis Link Probed by Researchers

As U.S. health authorities expand use of the leading Covid-19 vaccines, researchers investigating heart-related risks linked to the shots are exploring several emerging theories, including one centered on the spike protein made in response to vaccination.

Further discussed at Instapundit where there is a long and detailed comments thread. This one particularly interested me, but how could I ever find out if it’s true?

The vax raises your A1C levels [the measure of sugar in one’s blood]. Enough it would push me from the pre-diabetic range to full blown diabetes. You know, you’d almost have to conclude the dreaded covid vaccine side effects weren’t studied before the decision was made to give everyone the jab before the dreaded covid didn’t kill us.

Just like this.

Thumbnail

There really needs to be a diabetic exemption from the vax aside from everyone under 17 years of age.

And then there is this quite fascinating story: California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s whereabouts remain unknown. He was supposed to go to COP26, took his booster shot and hasn’t been seen in public for something like the last ten days.

So again, who are these politicians to tell us whether we should get vaxxed? You might therefore look at this from The Australian Spectator: Just the facts: coronavirus in Australia by the numbers – updated. Very long but worth every second, but will take you to the final paras.

Covid-19 is not a death sentence. In Australia it has a case fatality rate of just over 1%, meaning that the vast majority of those who test positive will not die. Covid-19 is a virus that poses risks specifically to the elderly and those with existing comorbidities, and extremely negligible risk to those below 60. The vast majority of those who have died with Covid-19 in Australia are over 80 years old and have pre-existing illnesses.

Sensible precautions should be directed towards minimising the risks to those in the at-risk categories. If others outside of those at risk categories also wish to engage in the same precautions then they should be free to do so. Otherwise, Australians should be free to go about their lives without the significant burden of extreme wide-ranging restrictions. All Australians should be free to make an informed decision about how to manage the risks to their health and safety arising from Covid-19. We should especially be free to decide whether or not to receive a Covid-19 vaccination without coercion or the threat of being stripped of our jobs and ability to earn a livelihood for ourselves and our families.

Updates on the Covid hoax in Australia

Via the Australian Spectator: Just the facts: coronavirus in Australia by the numbers – updated. A mass of data on a mass delusion. But make sure you read the comments at the end since one is still not permitted to discuss how fraudulent this covid business has been and is. Here are a selection from among the comments.

It is disgraceful that the official statistics are not published by the mainstream media. The statistics tell the whole story, and allow an individual to undertake a personal risk analysis. I would note that in the Foster et al book, “The Great COVID Panic”, it is argued, if I understand it correctly, that immunologists use the term “case” as meaning an infection that leads to hospitalisation, whereas it is used in common parlance to mean a positively identified “infection”. The confusion has led to incorrect estimations of the severity of the impact of the virus. Even so, the author of this article, does seem to use the term in a way that reflects the stats.

Not enough people have done any independent research into the covid scam and simply rely on the brain dead media for their information. And why are we pressured to take untested vaccines when there are alternative and safer drugs such as the ‘medicine kits’ the WHO are rolling out in India? They include Doxycycline and Ivermectin and resulted in 97% (some reports say 99%) reduction in cases. Why the media blackout? Why not available in Australia or elsewhere. This is a monumental scandal.

The figures regarding injections of Pfizer and AstraZeneca are of concern about the safety of these ‘vaccinations’. Professor Luc Montagnier, winner of the 2008 Nobel Prize in Medicine for his discovery of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV virus), says the new variants of Covid are created by antibody-mediated selection due to the vaccinations. He explains the immediate direct toxic effects of the vaccine, produced spike protein on multiple organs of the body and the possibility of antibody dependent enhancement. He also discusses the possible long term effects in neurological diseases caused by prions (folded spike proteins) such as Alzheimer’s Disease and Parkinson’s Disease. This man is highly respected in his field and his views ought to give pause to the use of these hastily developed ‘vaccines’, especially the push by health bureaucrats and politicians to inject under 12 year olds.

I am not a medical expert. But after a long life and much of it managing a small business I am an expert in bullshit. The way Covid has been used to coerce and take away freedoms has my detector on red alert. Unfortunately most people are less immune to psychological Nudge Theory. Some subtlety is required if the indoctrinated are to be brought around. Vaccination is fine if it is your choice but I don’t see that your consent has been fully informed nor that anyone but you can be held accountable if you are one of the adverse statistics.

Russell Kirk: Ten Conservative Principles

Ten Conservative Principles are listed by Kirk in his article based on a book he wrote in 1993. Here’s the list but go to the link for the detail.

First, the conservative believes that there exists an enduring moral order. That order is made for man, and man is made for it: human nature is a constant, and moral truths are permanent.

Second, the conservative adheres to custom, convention, and continuity.

Third, conservatives believe in what may be called the principle of prescription.

Fourth, conservatives are guided by their principle of prudence.

Fifth, conservatives pay attention to the principle of variety.

Sixth, conservatives are chastened by their principle of imperfectability.

Seventh, conservatives are persuaded that freedom and property are closely linked.

Eighth, conservatives uphold voluntary community, quite as they oppose involuntary collectivism.

Ninth, the conservative perceives the need for prudent restraints upon power and upon human passions.

Tenth, the thinking conservative understands that permanence and change must be recognized and reconciled in a vigorous society.

His final para remains the issue since the question remains whether conservatism must be aligned with religious beliefs.

The great line of demarcation in modern politics, Eric Voegelin used to point out, is not a division between liberals on one side and totalitarians on the other. No, on one side of that line are all those men and women who fancy that the temporal order is the only order, and that material needs are their only needs, and that they may do as they like with the human patrimony. On the other side of that line are all those people who recognize an enduring moral order in the universe, a constant human nature, and high duties toward the order spiritual and the order temporal.

Perhaps he’s right about the nature of the division, but if he is, then conservatives will continue to be overrun by secular moralities and competing religious views. One might therefore go further and read Voeglin’s own Reflections on Russell Kirk.

Supply chain issues

We are surrounded by Keynesian economists which means we are surrounded by economists who do not have the first clue about how an economy works. Keynesian – that is, modern – theory is entirely a demand-side idiocy with any notion of how an economy knits together utterly left out. Which is why I found this so inane: Joe Biden Appears to Sneer at Americans’ Intelligence: Questions Collective Ability to ‘Understand’ Supply Chain Issues

Biden promised to try and “explain to the American people” what supply chain issues America faces, telling the attending press representatives who “write for a living” he is yet to witness a reporter “explain supply chain very well.”

“This is a confusing time,” Biden stated.

Economists once upon a time did focus on the structure of supply, as Austrian economist still do. Now, not one in a thousand ever goes into the role of the supply-side in understanding the way economies work.

Meanwhile, back in Victoria, let me return to that story run in the middle of the weekend: Andrews government accused of blurring budget figures. Let me put up a second tranche from the article:

“Crucially, four-year forecasts in the budget are not sufficient to show when the government expects net debt to peak or stabilise,” the report found.

“This has increased in importance given the layering of the long-term economic and debt impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic with larger transport infrastructure projects.

“Recent Victorian budgets have not presented a transparent and cohesive fiscal framework.

“Components are spread throughout the budget papers, and are vague, making objective assessment of performance difficult.”

The report is set to spark major concerns over the openness of the Andrews government and its financial management with budget forecasts expecting net debt to climb to a record high $156bn by 2024-25, or 20.3 per cent of the state’s economy, significantly higher than the government’s 12 per cent target. The report’s release follows concerns by a number of MPs about the government’s budget process and is set to lead to calls for an overhaul of the way the government reports its financial position. One political source told the Sunday Herald Sun the budget figures were simply not transparent.

“The spin is in overdrive,” one source said. “The budget papers aren’t doing the best to tell Victorians what’s going on.

It’s not as if the financial disasters overtaking Victoria are invisible. They are just ignored, and with Keynesians the only brand of economists anywhere to be seen, we will continue forward as we are until we hit the wall. But at some stage they are going to have to come for your money since they are no longer able to get if from the Chinese Belt and Road bankruptcy provisions.

Same thing everywhere in the US with its $1.2 trillion “infrastructure” bill. Biden laughing at economic ignorance is just one of the many ironies of the moment, as endless workers are being shunted from their jobs because they are unwilling to take the vax.

People are beginning to notice

The more people notice the less likely any of this will show up in the media. But still: ‘It’s the Vaccines. It Has to Be’: Adverse Reactions to Covid Jabs Likely to Blame for Hospitals Suddenly Being Flooded Across the Globe. It begins:

“We’ve had discussions amongst ourselves, but nobody is willing to take our concerns to the admins,” a doctor in Maine told me during a Zoom interview this weekend. “About half of us think it’s the vaccines while the other half says it’s a combination of factors. All we know is we’ve never seen the constant flow of heart and lung conditions hitting our ER, not like this, not every single day and night.”

The doctor, who chose halfway through our interview to remain anonymous for fear of repercussions at their hospital, was referring to the sharp increase in emergency room visits they’ve seen in recent weeks. It’s a nonstop flow of serious medical issues that often have no clear reason for occurring. Heart attacks in particular have gone from one or two per week to daily entries in the ER logs.

“It’s funny because I’m telling you this, annoyed at my peers for not speaking out, and even now I’m having second thoughts about talking to you,” the doctor said. “I can’t believe that we’re not allowed to ask the most basic scientific questions or follow the most obvious trail that could lead us to an inconvenient solution.”

That solution, of course, is to halt vaccinations for most if not all. After further discussion with the doctor, we decided to move forward with the interview for the purpose of writing the article but not to use the doctor’s name. It was disappointing, but I understand the desire to not put their career at risk unnecessarily. Besides, the data is clear enough that even a layman can and should start asking questions.

And then there’s this: Anyone noticing a pattern yet? And what pattern is that? People, young, healthy and athletic dying, sometimes in the middle of a match which until now has been unheard of. I’ve already discussed this here – Hospitals worldwide are being overrun with no official explanation why – but even I am reluctant to make a fuss about it. But the evidence is mounting and eventually there will be quite a lot of fuss made about it, since these vaxxines seem to be taking a large toll in deaths and injuries that have no other explanation for their sudden arrival everywhere.

And then there’s this: Doctor FIRED for Giving Patients Facts About Covid Injection. This is the video.

Here’s the text that comes with the vid.

Giving his patients the facts about the COVID19 “vaccines” so they could offer true informed consent ended up costing Dr. Bradley Meyer his job, but that did not bother him. In fact, in this interview on Conversations That Matter with The New American magazine’s Alex Newman, Dr. Meyer said that he would rather be in a FEMA camp than take the experimental COVID shot. Another concern from his employer was his willingness to prescribe Ivermectin and other treatments, which he found to be very effective in treating COVID. Now, he is working to create a new healthcare center that will use advanced therapy and treatment options to help patients be healthy.
