Novavax the vaccine for the vaxxine-hesitant

This is my kind of article: Novavax: the good vaccine. It’s not that most of us are in any sense “anti-vaxxers” but lots of us are very reluctant to take any of the currently existing experimental forms now on offer. But there is Novavax which many of us have been looking out for. Who can be sure of any of it, but here we find it discussed in a very positive way. But first, there is a discussion of Daniel Andrews in a way that makes me trust her judgement just that little bit more.

He takes away your freedom to work. He prevents you from seeing friends and loved ones. He only lets you watch programs which distort your sense of reality and supress your independent thought. He watches and monitors everywhere you go. He threatens to keep you locked up if you don’t comply.

And the final straw?

He forces you to get a medical treatment that you never wanted.

In many ways, Victoria’s relationship with Daniel Andrews resembles more of an abusive relationship than a government that is in power to serve the people.

Victoria’s two-tiered society has witnessed the use of isolationist language and tactics to separate the vaccinated from the unvaccinated.

Dictator Dan pushes Victorians to consider the vaccinated as superior citizens and the unvaccinated as less than helots.

But then to Novavax. She writes:

The highly anticipated Novavax vaccine may act as a kind of saviour to those with health issues who cannot take other Covid-19 vaccines which are currently on the market. Also, those who just plain and simple do not feel confident in our current variety of vaccines….

Novavax is clearly standing out from the crowd. With the absence of the contentious mRNA technology from Pfizer and Moderna (which has been linked to myocarditis, pericarditis, potential pregnancy and neonatal adverse eventsmenstrual changes and in some very rare but serious cases, death) and Astra Zeneca’s reputation crushing blood clotting saga, Novavax’s safety is demonstrating a higher success rate.

In relation side effects, the decreased rate of adverse reactions is promising. In fact, this table from the New England Journal of Medicine looks at Novavax’s adverse reactions records in relation to a study. When looking at the toxicity grade (mild, moderate, severe or potentially life threatening) there is no data to suggest a potentially life threatening reaction in their study. This is incredible news in optimising the safety and confidence for Australians to get vaccinated.

Novavax also has an incredible 96% efficacy which has been seen in their first trial.

So far so good. So let’s get on with it.

Daniel Andrews’ Victoria: “a sadistic experiment with unintended consequences”

I hate to dwell on Daniel Andrews but he represents a measure of incompetence and stupidity that will be hard for any future premier to exceed. However, I am drawn to all this again by Nick Cater’s article in The Oz today whose title sets the scene: The tyranny of ineptitude drives more to the streets.

I will stick to the highlights, but Andrews is a sad example of how fear and uncertainty can make absolutely anyone an apparent refuge, even when he has overseen the worst record anywhere in Australia, perhaps even across the world, shaded only by the devastating results achieved by Andrew Cuomo in New York (from whom Andrews may well have copied much of what he has done). All this is from Nick.

Lockdowns are a sadistic experiment with unintended consequences.

On Friday, 127 days, 87,000 cases, 9.2 million jabs and 460 deaths later, Andrews revoked the mask rule. There was no explanation or attempt to hide behind the fig leaf of health advice. If there was any advice, it would have contradicted the advice on which he claimed to be acting when he imposed mandatory mask wearing four months ago.

With more than 9000 active cases in the now unmasked community, Victorians are 530 times more likely to run into an infected person than they were in the middle of masked-up July.

Lockdowns did nothing to halt the spread of the virus; indeed, the number of people infected in the past four months of the pandemic in Victoria is four times larger than the number infected in the first 14 months.

Andrews’ brutal style of politics can allow for no admission of defeat or personal culpability. It demands a steady supply of scapegoats, the so-called idiots but for whom the virus would now be under control.

Andrews’ zero-Covid promise of July turned out to be utterly worthless and the pain he inflicted was degrading and ineffective.

Idiocy has assumed many forms in Andrews’ rhetoric in the past 20 months.

Today’s idiots are those who exercise their right not to consent to taking the vaccine. In doing so they are denying themselves the benefits the vaccine bestows but that hardly makes them idiots. They simply may be distrustful, and the more coercive public health measures become, the more sceptical they become….

Our intelligence has been insulted and our lives disrupted by these buffoons, safe behind their laptops, churning out executive orders, randomly enforced, that run to 83,000 words across 254 pages in Victoria, none of which has been endorsed by the elected parliament.

The social fabric is disintegrating as police are conscripted to enforce these garbled decrees that change on a whim. Police officers are calling in sick or resigning in disgust, uncomfortable with the declining public trust in the uniform they were once proud to wear. The permanent expansion of executive power Andrews seeks with the extension of emergency power legislation will further entrench the tyranny of ineptitude that is driving Victorians on to the streets.

I will finish with two comments from the paper.

How any intelligent reasonable Victorian, regardless of their political persuasion, can honestly believe Andrews and his government has performed well is frankly “unfathomable”. I just don’t get it.

But what does that say about Victorians, if Andrews goes on to win the election?

It’s the Melbourne Syndrome.

Political extremism

She really is a fool of the highest order. Then there’s this: Andrews accuses PM of ‘pandering to extremists’.

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has accused Prime Minister Scott Morrison of “pandering to extremists?? in the wake of a large protest in Melbourne.

On Saturday, tens of thousands of protesters took to the streets in Melbourne’s CBD in opposition to the state government’s pandemic laws and COVID-19 vaccination policies.

The peaceful protest capped off a week of demonstrations at State Parliament where there were some ugly scenes including the parading of gallows.

Asked about the threats during the week, Mr Morrison said such behaviour had no place in public protest but could understand why some Victorians were frustrated with the state government.

Mr Andrews on Sunday said those comments were offensive to the 5 million Victorians who had received their vaccinations.

What is really a major worry is that our political leaders are such fools, with Andrews and Lambie so brain dead to the issues that matter. How about we factor things like this into the equation: UK STUDY — Vaccinated Adults under 60 are dying at 2X Times the rate of the Unvaccinated….

Lots more data just like that everywhere, but seldom where Dan Andrews or Jacqui Lambie can see it apparently.

Plus this from Small Dead Animals.

Cardiology Advisor- ACS Risk Biomarkers Significantly Increase After mRNA COVID-19 Vaccine

The risk of developing acute coronary syndrome (ACS) significantly increased in patients after receiving mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, according to a report presented at the American Heart Association (AHA) Scientific Sessions 2021, held from November 13 to 15, 2021.

The PULS Cardiac Test measures multiple protein biomarkers, including hepatocyte growth factor [HGF], soluble Fas, and IL-16, and uses the results to calculate a 5-year risk score for new ACS. The PULS score increases with above-normal elevation. Allparticipants received this test every 3-6 months for 8 years.

That sounds like one heck of a good base line to start from.

As a result, the 5-year ACS PULS risk score increased from 11% to 25%. By the time the report was published, changes had persisted for 2.5 months or more after the second vaccine dose.

The study author concluded that “mRNA [vaccines] dramatically increase inflammation on the endothelium and T cell infiltration of cardiac muscle and may account for the observations of increased thrombosis, cardiomyopathy, and other vascular events following vaccination.”

Emphasis mine

Some more on ACS or “acute coronary syndrome” .

Geoff Guidice (1947-2021)

A heavyweight bout before closing a chapter

There are people who are too little appreciated for what they have done, even though they have done a great deal. One of these is the just-departed former Chief Judge of Fair Work Australia, Geoff Guidice. I am devastated to learn he has now departed from this life.

I came to know him when I was writing economic submissions for the National Wage Case on behalf of Australian Employers. He became the advocate when our previous advocate, Colin Polites, who had also passed away at a depressingly early age, was appointed as a Deputy President on the Australian Industrial Relations Commission (the AIRC). Colin had been for many years a great comic tenor in a variety of Gilbert and Sullivan productions and brought the same colour to his oral submissions.

Geoff was a completely different kind of advocate which I grew to admire for its surprising effectiveness since it was such a contrast to Colin’s. He would calmly and in a low-key manner, read the lines into transcript, but every so often would stop, and say something like, “I would particularly like to emphasise this” and tap his pencil on the lectern. And that tap would sound like an explosion across the courtroom, as everyone bent forward to hear what these special words would be.

He was a great advocate, and following that, he was a great President firstly for the AIRC and then after that, as the first President of the newly formed Fair Work Australia. What was so important to myself, in presenting my own economic submissions after I had taken over from Geoff, but only for the economic submissions – not the parts dealing with industrial law – was that I knew he would be fair and balanced when the decision was finally crafted. That, perhaps surprisingly, is all that we on the employer side ever sought.

And with his having been our advocate in the past, there was never any doubt he knew what the issues were and what really mattered.

Oddly, after he had left Fair Work Australia and I had gone on to other endeavours, we would occasionally bump into each other just by chance, with the most astonishing such meeting at the National Gallery in London one day out of the blue.

He had the sunniest disposition and was always kind and gentle. It was always the greatest pleasure to meet up with him. He has departed from this life far too soon. But his was an eventful life, one whose achievements will, I fear, be much too little appreciated since they occurred in the midst of an arena whose importance remains all too little understood.

Seriously why would anyone want to force someone else to take these vaxxines?

Now there is this to think about: European Medicines Agency Data Shows 1,163,356 Adverse Drug Reactions and 30,551 Fatalities by COVID-19 Vaccinations

The official European Union database of suspected drug reaction website is now reporting 30,551 fatalities and 1,163,356 adverse drug reactions from COVID vaccines Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, and AztraZeneca through November 13, 2021 based on the data submitted to its system….

All the data shown in the websiteand individual case report forms were taken from EudraVigilance, “a system designed for collecting reports of suspected side effects, used for evaluating the benefits and risks of medicines during their development and monitoring their safety following their authorization in the European Economic Area (EEA).”…

From ADRreports website:

  • A side effect is classified as ‘serious’ if it (i) results in death, (ii) is life-threatening, (iii) requires hospitalisation or prolongation of existing hospitalisation, (iv) results in persistent or significant disability/incapacity (as per reporter’s opinion), (v) is a congenital anomaly/birth defect, or (vi) results in some other medically important conditions.

30,551 fatalities is not a trivial number and there were far more side-effects than that. Who is Daniel Andrews or anyone else to tell others that they must take these vaxxes to participate in society?

Where’s the evidence that these vaxxines are actually safe?

Police look on as protesters gather in Melbourne's CBD.

From Melbourne’s ‘freedom’ protest fever spreads across the country but I want you to notice this passage in particular.

“No matter how much misinformation and propaganda you put out there, Victoria is going to win.”

Dr Cumming has appeared regularly at the anti-government protests and has been promoting them online.

She railed against the vaccination of children with a COVID-19 jab and claimed Mr Andrews was “coming after her children”.

The vaccines approved for use in Australia have strong scientific backing as being both safe and effective in preventing COVID-19.

“I want to make this very clear, Daniel, when you come after my children you come after every single Victorian,” Dr Cumming said. “We are together as a freedom family… Good luck Mr Andrews.”

And what I found so remarkable was the second-last para which you will notice has no quotation marks. It is a parenthetical comment made either by the journalist or an editor that completely distorts what Dr Cumming was trying to say.

The vaccines approved for use in Australia have strong scientific backing as being both safe and effective in preventing COVID-19.

What’s more, the statement is false. There is an ocean of evidence related to the dangers related to these vaxxines but you will not read any of it in the mainstream press or see it discussed anywhere in the electronic media.

Which reminds me of this: FDA will wait until 2076 to release Pfizer Vaccine data….

The FDA has asked a federal judge to make the public wait until the year 2076 to disclose all of the data and information it relied upon to license Pfizer’s vaccine.

It wants 55 years to produce this information to the public.

Surely that must make you wonder why they are so reluctant to put this information before the public at the present time, especially if we “have strong scientific backing [that the vaxxines are] both safe and effective in preventing COVID-19.”

The disappearance of Covid in Africa is a scientific mystery

Scientists mystified, wary, as Africa avoids COVID disaster.

When the coronavirus first emerged last year, health officials feared the pandemic would sweep across Africa, killing millions. Although it’s still unclear what COVID-19’s ultimate toll will be, that catastrophic scenario has yet to materialize in Zimbabwe or much of the continent….

There is something “mysterious” going on in Africa that is puzzling scientists, said Wafaa El-Sadr, chair of global health at Columbia University. “Africa doesn’t have the vaccines and the resources to fight COVID-19 that they have in Europe and the U.S., but somehow they seem to be doing better,” she said.

They also don’t seem to have Dan Andrews which is a very big plus and they do have Ivermectin which is another.

Dealing with self-serving socialist nonentities

Two related stories about the phenomenal incompetence of the Andrews Government. First this: Victorian living standards fall for two consecutive years.

Victorians’ living standards have fallen for two consecutive years, suffering the hardest hit in the country through the coronavirus recession, with signs it could take another year to get back to their pre-COVID levels.

From the Most Liveable City in the World to a derelict Melbourne has been transmogrified under the direction of the World’s Most Incompetent Political Leader. But he does need someone to blame, so we have this as well: Daniel Andrews blast of Scott Morrison ‘spells doom’ for national cabinet. Here’s the issue.

Mr Andrews accused Mr Morrison on Friday of “double speak” for condemning violent protests in Victoria but also saying he understood people were frustrated by governments “telling people what to do”.

Mr Morrison also criticised mandatory vaccination policies of state governments.

So this is Andrews’ reply. No content, but lots of invective.

“You have got to call it out when you see this sort of appalling behaviour,” Mr Andrews said. “I’m committed to doing what has to be done and not chasing, through double speak, the votes of extremists or their preferences. If others choose to do that then that is on them.”

When asked what his relationship was like with Mr Morrison, Mr Andrews said it would “be a lot better when he stops double speaking to extremists”.

And in rebuttal.

“(People who) want to come together again and want their lives back and they want governments to stop telling them what to do – and have government step back and them step forward into their own future. That’s the cause I have sympathy with,” he [Scott Morrison] said.

The peeling of Daniel Andrews fingers off the throat of the economy will be a very slow and painful process, but it has to be done. And this does seem to be right on the money:

“It wouldn’t surprise me one iota if this was all simply a co-ordinated federal Labor Party tactic,” Senator Birmingham said. “Let’s line the premiers up, we’ll go out and try to create another phony fight, to do a bit of a pile-on against Scott Morrison.”

Unfortunately, Scott Morrison wishes to do the right thing but finds himself dealing with a bunch of self-serving socialist nonentities.
