Even this is not peak absurd but surely it’s getting close

Sometimes the things you read are so absurd that they just cannot be true. From Biden Banking Nominee Scrubs Karl Marx Paper From Résumé. Try to find something more outrageously insane than this:

President Joe Biden’s pick for the nation’s top banking regulator, who received a scholarship named for Vladimir Lenin, scrubbed her résumé of a reference to a thesis she wrote on Karl Marx while a student at Moscow State University.

They even tell you what the thesis was so it’s not even hidden from those who made the decision.

Omarova, who Biden tapped to head the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, listed a paper titled “Karl Marx’s Economic Analysis and the Theory of Revolution in The Capital” on her résumé as recently as 2017.

Who better to regulate the American banking system than a Marxist communist graduate of Moscow State University?

Liars every one of them

Daniel Andrews walking from his car to Parliament without a mask.

If Covid really were a deadly disease that might strike anyone down at any time, no one would forget to do everything they can to prevent infection. The reality is that pretty well everyone in our governing class understands that it is pretty well all a pretence with virtually no danger whatsoever to their lives and health. There is some, but it’s minimal. You are far more likely to be in a fatal car crash than to die from Covid.

So the picture is from this story: Premier Daniel Andrews probed by police over possible mask breach. They take us for fools, and in that they may be onto something. Like with this in the US: ‘Squad’ member Rashida Tlaib is branded a hypocrite for dancing MASKLESS at indoor wedding in ‘substantial’ transmission area after scolding anti-masker Sen. Rand Paul.

Same woman who was overheard explicitly stating it is only a joke: ‘Squad’ Member Rashida Tlaib Admits Masks Are Political Theater, ‘Just Wearing It’ For Cameras. Just like at Obama’s 60th birthday party: THEY LAUGH AT YOU: Obama and Liberal Elites Spotted Maskless at His Swank Birthday Gala on Martha’s Vineyard as Rest of the Country Hunkers Down in Pandemic.

Everyone knows this is true: List Of 30 Studies Showing Face Masks Are Useless Against COVID-19. But you will do as you are told, so Daniel Andrews will face a $400 fine.

Are we stupid, or are we stupid!

Allow all health practitioners the freedom to speak honestly and openly

Let us assume, on really hardly any evidence at all, that our governments, state and federal, really are concerned for our health. But in a free society, there must be open and free discourse on every subject of interest to the community so that all sides of any question can be properly examined.

Which brings me to this: Petition EN3375 – AHPRA edict silencing health practitioners. It is a petition which reads as follows:

Petition Reason

There is conclusive evidence [sighted AHPRA documents] that AHPRA has silenced health practitioners from raising concerns about the Covid-19 vaccine, and from raising all related concerns about this experimental gene therapy [called a vaccine]. There is also conclusive evidence that health practitioners have been threatened with dismissal, and with removal from practice, if they raise their concerns publicly and go against the main narrative.

Petition Request

We therefore ask the House to remove the AHPRA edict and allow all health practitioners the freedom to speak honestly and openly about their concerns. This is a matter of public safety and ethical obligation. There is growing global concern about the short, medium and long-term effects of the Covid-19 vaccine. Removing the AHPRA edict would also allow open debate about the other possible ways of treating Covid-19.

I merely bring this to your attention. Sign it as you see fit.

Dennis Prager discusses Jewish allegiance to the Democratic Party

Dennis Prager: For everyone who keeps asking me why do so many Jews always vote Democrat….

Some of the most powerful forces in the Democrat Party (the reason for the $3.5 trillion spending bill) are indistinguishable in their hatred for Israel from Hamas, Hezbollah and the Iranian regime. Does this disturb American Jewish Democrats?

Not nearly as much as Donald Trump disturbed them. Most American Jews loathed Trump despite the facts that he was the most pro-Israel president since Harry Truman; that his daughter and grandchildren are religious Jews; and that he engineered the Abraham Accords, a peace agreement between the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain and Israel, which was followed by normalization of relations between Sudan and Israel and between Morocco and Israel.

Most American Jews believe the Democrat Party is a good and moral party and that the Republican Party is immoral and perhaps even evil.

This view is entirely emotional, which is why it is difficult to imagine it changing.

Most American Jews identify Republicans with the right and they assume “the right” means “fascist” or even “Nazi.”

Most American Jews identify Republicans with the rich and powerful and the Democrat Party with the poor and downtrodden, even though the rich and powerful are overwhelmingly Democrats.

Most American Jews identify the Democrat Party with secularism and the Republican Party with religion (religious Christians and Orthodox Jews). And they are as committed to secularism as Christians are to Christ.

Most American Jews have signed on to just about every secular substitute for Judeo-Christian religions: feminism, environmentalism, “anti-racism,” humanism, socialism. Jews, I have often noted, may well be the most religious people in the world — but for the great majority of them, Judaism is not their religion. And the Democrat Party is the party of all these secular religions.

Melbourne’ big issue of the moment

This was the front-page story in the Herald-Sun this morning, as you can see from the above: Gap grows between haves, have nots. And who are these have nots. The have-nots are the families in Melbourne’s newer suburbs where there are fewer swimming pools per head of population than in some other suburbs.

Of course, there is always this they could discuss on their front page: Labor minsters quizzed by corruption watchdog amid calls for Daniel Andrews to stand down. Well, maybe tomorrow.

My IEA article on Covid in Australia

The Institute of Economic Affairs in London [the IEA] has published an article of mine on Dealing with Covid-19 in Australia. Most of it will be old news for us in Australia but I end with two paras on what needs to be done now:

Covid is disappearing as a lethal problem and is rapidly fading back into the pack as a serious disease affecting any but a relatively small handful of the population. In fact, most of those who are positively tested, are simply asked to go home and quarantine for two weeks.

What must now occur is that the Covid dogs are called off, genuinely serious cases should be dealt with in hospital as would occur if it were a bad case of the flu. Other than that, we should go back to business as usual, at least as was usual prior to March 2020. There should be no vaccine passports. No mask mandates. Our borders should be open to travel, especially our state borders, whose closure has been particularly absurd. Individuals should be permitted to do what they feel is best for themselves, as we all get on with our lives.

Unless the plan is to lock us down forever until Covid disappears, there is no alternative but to open our borders and our economies while doing what we can to care for those whom the virus infects.

Representation of opposing educational values

The Dunce

I came across the painting above accompanying this story: The Obliteration of Standards in Pursuit of “Social Justice”. The story was described in this way by its subhead:

“With their headlong, power-made rush to obliterate standards, progressives are destroying the people they purport to represent.”

But what interested me was the picture so I went looking for the picture on the net since I could not work out what the painting represented. A very sad child with a book in his hand. Was it something he had read? Was he depressed about something else? An interesting story, it seemed, but I had no idea what the story was. Turns out it was a painting by Harold Copping (1863–1932) titled, The Dunce, so it is apparently a paining depicting a young kid who finds learning has defeated his abilities. But I could find nothing else, beyond that it had been used to illustrate another article which had a completely different theme: Foreign Policy In An Ignorant Democracy. Here is what this article was about.

Support for Donald Trump was strongly correlated with low education.

So the painting was used as a representation of competing forms of ignorance. The first describes a policy which it is said is destroying education. The second is a story that more or less proves the first one is sadly all too accurate.

Think of this. The more educated one is, the more likely they are to have voted for Joe Biden. How stupid can you get?

Do not get the covid vaxxine say these doctors

Click the link if it doesn’t open automatically and then wait till the doctors begin to speak. Surely it can’t be any worse than showing up at Gallipoli. There is, of course, also this:

Hydroxychloroquine rated ‘most effective therapy’ by doctors for coronavirus: Global survey

You really do have to wonder whether our governments are trying to kill us.
