It’s what the people want

So that’s what they get. From here.

Aside from the Internet spying, the militarized riot police, and the detention camps, everything is fine Down Under…

PART TWO: Where were we?

Oh yes, 70 percent of Australians were agreeing “sometimes people’s freedoms need to be restricted to keep Australia safe.” Land of the unbrave, home of the unfree.

Someone asked me after the first Australia post what I meant by a democratic police state. Pretty much this. If Neil and Karen are not just not standing up for their rights but begging for kneepads, their leaders are almost duty-bound to provide them. Give the people what they want, especially when what they want is more power for me!

Welcome to the Pandemia in its purest form, no pandemic required.

Scholars have noted that anti-Semitism runs hottest in Arab countries where Jews for all intents and purposes don’t exist. Similarly, the fear of Sars-Cov-2 appears strongest in places that haven’t seen it. (The same trend is clear in the United States, by the way. The nursing home workers who have seen Covid’s real impact more closely than anyone else are the least afraid of it, at least based on their unwillingness to submit to vaccinations.)

In any case, Australia has been happy to be a modern-day hermit kingdom, with its states competing to impose the strictest Covid rules.

Want proof? Here’s proof.

And they keep making fun of us in America. At least I think it’s supposed to be satire.

Daniel Andrews is the worst premier in Australian history

It’s not just that he’s stupid, and not just that he’s a thug, but that he has no ability to understand any issue and the only means he has to deal with anything is through the use of force.

Marcus Tullius Cicero quote: The wise are instructed by reason, average minds by experience...

Or in this case the wise rule by the use of reason, the average mind rules through what has been learned through experience, the stupid rule only by the use of force since they have no understanding of any of the issues they must personally deal with.

To see ourselves as others see us

This is direct from Instapundit. Dan Andrews is as thick and dumb as they come, but you would hope that there might be others in his government who see the massive damage the Victorian Government is inflicting on the State and on Australia’s good standing among the nations of the world.

SHOCK VIDEOS: What’s happening to Australia?

The Aussie government insisted afterward that the rioters were the aggressors, even scolding them for urinating on Melbourne’s Shrine of Remembrance. Is that the truth or just part of the state’s PR effort to keep the balance of popular opinion on the side of lockdowns by demonizing those who resist them?

The most disturbing video circulating today has no violence in it. It’s this scene of police officers in another part of the country interrogating a man in the interest of “public safety” about whether he knows of any protests coming up. I can’t tell if that’s because they’re worried about a riot in their jurisdiction too or if they’re really willing to go this far to prevent people from congregating in public for fear that they’ll spread the virus. Australia has lost very few people to COVID thanks to their lockdown strategy, but they’ve lost other important things in the process.

“All the more reason in America to: Thank God for Rednecks.Who else could keep us from turning into Australia?

As bad as things are getting here in the States, we can’t fathom how much worse things would be without these down-home heroes. Sure, they might carry their paranoid anti-government theories a little too far. But their paranoia is far from unfounded, and even if they sometimes over-react, they keep America from falling into the opposite extreme: creeping tyranny, Aussie style. You can’t boil a frogs if he flips out every time you reach for the knob.

Like them, I’d prefer the burdens of liberty to a warm, sterile despotism. And that seems like an old-fashioned, all-American instinct to me. I can’t see Davey Crockett “sheltering in place” because the Department of Public Health asked him to. I can’t see Teddy Roosevelt triple-masking. I can’t see Johnny Cash stanning Dr. Fauci.

So, my apologies to those anti-maskers in Virginia. I rushed to judge you last summer, and that was wrong.  May you continue to resist any whiff of conformism with righteous fury. May you give no quarter to the elite “consensus” of elite “institutions.” And may you never stop being pissed off. It just might save this republic.

“Except for certain quarters: College campuses are becoming insane COVID-19 security dystopias.”

Monica Smit released from jail

Aussie anti-lockdown heroine Monica Smit released from jail.

After three weeks behind bars, anti-lockdown activist and traditional Catholic Monica Smit was granted bail under revised conditions Wednesday.

Smit has been one of Australia’s leading voices in pushing back against her government’s harsh authoritarian response to COVID-19, championing the cause of liberty against the draconian measures that have been imposed upon millions of Australians since March 2020.

This was an interview with her parents prior to her release: ‘If they can’t break me, they can’t break you!’ Anti-COVID activist’s message from jail.

Recalling the Black Lives Matter protests in Melbourne last year

These are images from Melbourne’s Black Lives Matter protests. How different things were, and no police in sight. June 6, 2020 at the height of the Covid panic.

That was then. This is now:

With this as a reminder of what the difference really is.

“Junta has turned Covid into a weapon”

So there I was, sitting down to dinner, and finally turning to the paper, and there, in The Oz, after its idiotic coverage of the protests in Melbourne yesterday, I found this story with the above headline. Amazing, I said to myself, an actually accurate story of what went on. Afraid not. It was a story about Myanmar, but could have been about us. This was the opening para.

Myanmar is in the grips of a silent health crisis … as the junta continues to hunt down pro-democracy medics and block supplies from vulnerable areas.

It’s actually the reverse of the front page story about Australia but different juntas, different agendas. Here we are determined to vaxxinate the entire population, there the aim is to prevent vaxxination, but methods aside, the government will not permit any show of opposition. Here we have this instead, from The Age: Melbourne protests fizzle as police turn out in force.

There has been no significant protest action today, with demonstrators failing to gather in significant numbers in the city.

Police were out in force, at first near the CFMEU headquarters on Elizabeth Street in the city this morning, checking the identities and permits of people coming through.

Comes with this picture.

Police from the mounted branch outside the Queen Victoria market this morning.

Anyway, “Junta has turned Covid into a weapon” could just as easily apply to Melbourne as Myanmar.

“We are flying blind”

From Peter Smith at QoL: COVID, Pregnancy and Official Misconceptions. He begins:

It may interest readers to know that Benjamin Netanyahu got the first jab in Israel on December 19, 2020. That’s exactly nine months ago – the gestational period for a human baby. Pregnant women were not included in vaccine trials (see below). Thus, there is no information from clinical trials on reproductive risks and, by definition, we have no extensive and reliable information on the effect of vaccines on new-born babies and infants. We are flying blind; or at least with blurred vision.

For myself, we are now gathering a list of people who will no longer welcome us in their homes until we get the vax. They have already had the vax themselves, so I classify this as a form of misery loves company. If you have had the vax, what are you worried about?

Of course, there’s a lot to be worried about, specially if you have had the vax. From the comments at Peter’s post:

Vaccines advocated and promoted by the Federal Government , according to current scientific knowledge and previous public statements:

1. do not provide immunity to the SARS Cov-2 virus

2. do not prevent the development of Covid-19

3. May lead to shedding – causing variants and further cases

4. are causing death and serious injury globally

5. long term effects on the health of those jabbed are unknown

6. have not undergone testing for safety

7. may be characterised as a form of genetic modification and while called genetic vaccines by some, are more of a genetic treatment than a vaccine

8. have not been tested for genotoxicity (TGA Freedom of Information)

9. have not been tested to confirm carcinogenicity (TGA Freedom of Information)

10. have not been tested to confirm the effects on fertility (TGA Freedom of Information)

On January 25, 2021, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) granted provisional approval to Pfizer Australia to supply its mRNA vaccine named Cominarty, indicated for the prevention of Covid-19 in individuals 16 years and older.

The provisional approval process allows for up to six years post-market validation. Such approval is therefore granted on limited safety and efficacy data.

The same people pushing the vax are, not coincidentally, pushing euthanasia.

PLUS THIS: Coronavirus has become endemic, making Australia’s policy settings obsolete. It’s from The Spectator.

A major study from the National Bureau of Economic Researchin June, based on all-causes mortality data from 44 countries and all US states, concluded that earlier and longer lockdowns do not reduce deaths and if anything, lockdowns may increase deathsDenmark lifted all restrictions from 10 September, including the requirement for domestic vaccine passports, declaring that Covid-19 is ‘no longer a critical threat to society’. At the time 73% of the population was fully vaccinated and Denmark’s daily new cases were still over 500. Meanwhile Sweden remains an excellent example of a lockdown-light to lockdown-free country with excess deaths lower for every year since 1990/91 bar one (2018/19).

What to do? No one knows. We will have to wait until those in government decide there is an evey better way to screw us over.

The Legal System of the Vaxxinated State

This is from Law in Nazi Germany with only a single word change required:

  • Unvaxxinted physicians were de-certified, and were no longer allowed to treat vaxxinated patients.
  • The unvaxxinated were prohibited from cinemas, the opera, and concerts.
  • Unvaxxinated children were banned from public schools.
  • Robbing the unvaxxinated became legal.

Not here yet, but perhaps on its way if our political leaders can manage to bring it on. As it says at the post, again with the appropriate adjustments:

The shift from the traditional legal system (the “normative state”) to the Covid ideological mission (the “prerogative state”) enabled all of the subsequent acts of the anti-Covid regime (including its atrocities) to be performed “legally”.

Being “legal” does not make something moral or just.

Live from Melbourne

From The Age: Pepper balls and stinger grenades: The weapons police are using against demonstrators.

Police also now have access to drones to monitor gatherings and a mobile riot truck to record confrontations and identify offenders to be arrested later.

Ashton told me at the time the weapons were for “major incidents of public disorder, demonstrations that go over the top and where we need to disperse large crowds that are out of control. We need the community to be with us on this.

“It is an ugly look to see police in riot gear in a suburban street. We now have some equipment that has not been seen before that may alarm people.”

The gear was ordered after a series of demonstrations and riots in which police were outnumbered and many received serious injuries. At the time, police were concerned at running gang fights around Moomba Festival and repeated clashes between ultra-right and left activists.

No one could have imagined the equipment would first be used to enforce government health orders

Yes, no one could have imagined that. And from the comments:

How many people have died from Covid in this state Victoria, since January this year? It’s only about 3 ? But they are hiding the stats! Here we are in mid September locked in our homes for months on end, some 6.8 million people going tropo. No income, no freedom and constant propaganda from ABC and mainstream media telling us unless we are jabbed we can’t be free. What the hell happened to flattening the curve? Why are we being corralled so can’t even visit children. Daniel Andrews is a madman and all those supporting him absolute cowards.

And also this from the comments. The same scene from a different perspective. A very different perspective.
