“Antifa clearly led the attack”

Suppose there was no Antifa involvement whatsoever in the attack on the Capitol in Washington, how much reporting of such involvement would end up in the media? Why none at all. Now suppose the entire attack had been organised and co-ordinated by Antifa and their allies, how much of that would show up in the media? Funny enough, it would be exactly the same, there wold be no reporting of any such involvement at all. The video above is from “Antifa Clearly Led the Attack. That Was Utterly Obvious.”

Yet we already knew that Anitfa had been there, if from nothing else other than the video of the woman being shot to death which was taken by a known member of Antifa. And everyone on our side is perfectly aware that the so-called “riot” had not been instigated by the President nor had been supported by him.

The left nevertheless continue its relentless attack on truth, of which they care nothing about at all, to implant this memory, in the same way the have made Joe McCarthy their standard for political evil even though everything McCarthy said about communist infiltration into the American State Department turned out to be 100% true. So the riot at the Capital will enter into that same kind of historical record where the lies that are being spread at every turn by the left and their allies becomes the only “truth” they will be willing to acknowledge.

Yet this is a particularly interesting statistic of the moment.: The vast majority of Trump supporters would still vote for Trump if the election were held today.

“Despite their criticism of his conduct since November 3rd and last week, 𝟵𝟭% of Trump voters say they’d still vote for him if another presidential election were held today,” Luntz said on his official social media account. Another 4% said they would switch their vote to President-elect Joe Biden, 3% said they would vote for someone else or write in someone else, and 2% said they wouldn’t vote at all.

The question that was not asked was how many of those who voted for Biden would have voted for him had they known then what they know now. The Trump majority in actual votes cast would have been even larger. In this post by the great Jack Cashill, he points out:

With his back to the wall, Trump rallied the last bulwark against this encroaching tyranny, the American people. In so doing, he showed the comically obvious hypocrisy of the Left’s support for “largely peaceful” protests.

Although events this past week did not appear to work out as we might have liked, appearances can be deceiving. There were lessons learned, eyes opened. It seems somehow providential that the people’s protest at the “People’s House” occurred on the Epiphany.

There are only around 74 million voters who know they have been cheated. These things will continue to matter.

Socialists can never be convinced that socialism does not work

Q: Why do people keep defending socialism if it had never worked before? Why do people keep defending socialism?Capitalism keeps harming them again and again if it had never worked before

A: Says who? Our socialist military defeated the fascists in WWII, in association with the Socialist Soviets. We built public schools, roads, utility grids, public water supplies, drug testing, food quality testing and many other things. They work pretty well. I was also reminded that the Inca and early Christian’s were socialists in practice, though the term was not yet in use.

___________________________________________________________

Socialists are a pretty stupid lot. The above is from Quora where you do find quite a lot of ignorant fools defending socialism as above. Does he really think the Incas were socialists? Were all of those Victorians who built public schools and roads etc socialists?

Here’s how you tell a socialist from a non-socialist in one easy lesson. A socialist believes an economy can be run like a single business, with all of the decisions made by head office, usually located in the capital city. Public works and public schools are not evidence of socialism. Central planning and the replacement of private firms by the public sector is. And most important of all, in a market economy there needs to be a price mechanism to allocate the resource base between different uses whereas among socialists they just spend the money on their favourite projects.

For a bit more on this, you might have a look at my I, Mechanical Pencil in which I explain in more detail the role of the price mechanism which can never be explained sufficiently well for those who are determined to introduce a socialist economy guaranteed to impoverish just about everyone.

“Trump is the greatest president in modern history”

This is by Pam Geller on the no-big-deal gathering in the Capitol after the Trump rally: There Was No Revolution

There was no revolution. There was no pro-Trump coup attempt. Everyone knows it.

A couple of crackpots who pranked at the Capitol are now being called a “revolution.” As if that crazy, painted-face shaman with the buffalo-horn hat was leading — what are they calling it? Ah yes, an insurrection.

There was a call by millions of Americans for election integrity. It was met with “shoot to kill” behavior and then a great purge. It wasn’t a revolution; it was more like an ambushNo one is asking who gave the shoot-to-kill order or who gave the order to invite protesters into the Capitol building.

We do know that the January 6, 2021 Capitol protesters were invited in. See the video here. And here.

What we do know is that there were scores of Trump rallies attended by hundreds of thousands of people, with not one incident.

And this is how she ends.

So why the desperate frenzy? They fear Trump. They fear us. But mostly because it’s an opportunity for totalitarians. It provides the context — the optics — to put down the people, as CNN and the rest of the Goebbelsesque media want to do. It is the Democrat version of the Reichstag fire.

They will force us underground. We will communicate like Germany’s “White Rose” Society (aka “Leaflets of the Resistance”).

If you think I am exaggerating, look around. I was right about it all.

The Great Purge is hardly new. It is used in all totalitarian seizures of power. Think Hitler, Stalin, Mao et al…. destroy the opposition. Crush dissent. The pile-on, especially from the right, is most foul. Trump saved the right, saved the Republican party, and he delivered in spades. Trump is the greatest President in modern history. But he is more than that. He is akin to a biblical figure — Job.

It was also the largest gathering in the history of the mall. That is what frightened the left, not a handful of protestors who broke through some barriers after first having been invited into the building.

I can believe it only because it’s so insane

See the additional details here: Biden says small business will receive no aid unless they’re owned by minorities, women.

Of course, women are already in a majority and after four years of Biden/Harris white men will be in a minority too. I bet that won’t count.

Of course, white male owned large business – say Facebook, Twitter and Amazon – will do really well for themselves.

“That’s the definition of fascism”

Fascism was socialism restricted to the confines of a single national state, compared with classical Marxism which was supposed to be international, as in “workers of the world unite” etc. This is from Instapundit.

THEY’RE POWERFUL. THEY’RE NOT NECESSARILY SMART, AND THEY’RE CERTAINLY NOT WISE:

Those who think they like this new censorship really need to step back and take the long view. Conspiracy theories about taking down Donald Trump will go on for 100 years. All of these efforts at suppression will be woven and rewoven into these theories. Driving the theories off the front pages of social media will make them wilder and crazier, and we won’t be able to see them or argue with them. How many millions of serious devotees does Trump have? What will they do now? Why is depriving them of their Twitter connection a wholesome curative?

When you have the leaders of business implementing the political agenda of a political party against its opposition, that’s the definition of fascism.

The corporate state as it is otherwise known. Not that it will do you much good to know the kind of political entity the United States has become, but it is nevertheless useful to know.

“Tim Blair is a Newscorp columnist”

That’s what comes at the end of this article by Tim Blair today which is titled: “The riot they did notice”. He begins:

WE’RE all agreed then. Last week’s riot in Washington was a disgrace and police should round up and charge everybody who participated in this shocking affront to democracy. On this, conservatives and leftists speak as one. It’s just that conservatives have had a little more practice. We’ve been condemning political violence for years. Our friends on the left, however, are new to this game. They ignored or downplayed riots across the US throughout last year, sometimes hilariously….

Last week’s deadly assault on the Capitol Building was different to riots in Portland, Seattle, Kenosha, Minneapolis and elsewhere, so people keep claiming, because it was incited by Trump. You’ll have noticed, though, that claims of incitement are never supported by any actual quotes….

And they acted contrary to Trump’s words: “I know everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol Building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.” Presumably his critics feel Trump incited events by rejecting the 2020 election’s legitimacy. You know, exactly as his critics have done for the past four years.

All this is very unusual for Newscorp. Apparently it is the wife of one of Murdoch’s sons who is the rabid lefty who has shifted the whole of the Newscorp orientation and Fox News especially. Such is the way of the modern world.

Code breakers

I grew up on Morse Code which I learned from my Dad who had been in the 2nd Divisional Signals during World War II. But it’s not a joke since the effort to shut down communications from the President is relentless. Ultimately without a feedback mechanism in the form of public discourse and debate, a free society cannot function.

Capitol lies

Start with this: US Capitol riot: Father says son’s arrest isn’t what it seems, he was anti-Trump.

But Robert Grimes, 54, of Cadillac says his son is not a supporter of President Donald Trump and should not be associated with those Trump supporters who stormed the U.S. Capitol building. His son keeps an eye on groups such as the Proud Boys and was there to protest the Trump faction, he said.

And then there’s this: DC Mayor Told Federal Law Enforcement To Stand Down Day Before Violent US Capitol Riot.

Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser told federal law enforcement to stand down just one day before a mob of Trump supporters breached the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday, smashing windows, entering the chambers, and forcing lawmakers and congressional staff inside into lockdown.

“To be clear, the District of Columbia is not requesting other federal law enforcement personnel and discourages any additional deployment without immediate notification to, and consultation with, MPD if such plans are underway,” Bowser wrote in a letter to acting U.S. Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen, acting Secretary of Defense Chris Miller, and Secretary of the Army Ryan D. McCarthy.

Also discussed here: US Capitol Police opened the fire doors and let hundreds of Activists inside the US Capitol.

And unusually I cannot copy the tweet you find at the link so you will have to go there yourself. Please do go to the link since the orderliness of the “protestors” is the most astonishing aspect.

But possibly most interesting of all was this: Rasmussen: Trump’s Approval Rating Rises After DC Protests. Virtually no one on the PDT side of the fence is particularly angry about the reaction of those who are actually on his side, which is not necessarily made up of the entire contingent of those who entered the Capitol.

The Rasmussen poll, one of the most accurate polls of the 2020 election, finds President Trump’s approval is actually rising after Wednesday‘s protests. As Democrats move to impeachment and some establishment  Republicans call for the 25th Amendment to remove Trump, the poll finds 48% approve of the President’s job performance.

Lots of media and the Deep State establishment sounding these supposed alarms, but if anyone has broken the democratic compact, they are the ones who have done it.

Sarah Hoyt on a roll

All the posts below are from Sarah Hoyt at Instapundit today, my new favourite blogger, along with Ace of Spades and Small Dead Animals. Take note of the first one especially.

SOMETHING EVERYONE MEALY-MOUTHING WHAT THE LEFT WANTS THEM TO SAY BECAUSE THEY THINK SOMEHOW THAT’S THE OVERTON WINDOW IS SHOULD PAY ATTENTION TO:  Rasmussen: Trump’s Approval Rating Rises After DC Protests. Remember, folks, in the face of unprecedented demonization of Trump from all official channels, Americans hunched their shoulders and voted for him in such amazing numbers that the Democrats had to extend their already amazing fraud operation to be highly visible and in your face.  Think about it. I know the Maoists think we’re Chinese peasants. But non-Maoists should maybe consider Americans are something else?  You ain’t seen nothing like us yet!

SO, IT TURNS OUT IT WAS A SETUP: To quote someone, I’ve seen more unruly “mobs” of third graders. And, btw, all the stuff about cleaning feces and urine from the capitol? They should ask the congress critters to stop using the capitol as a bathroom, then, because you know what? there were so many videos and none of that. Stop the gaslighting, oh, New-Maoist-Left. We ain’t buying it, and you’re just going to get us riled up.

WELL, OF COURSE.  ANTIFA, NO PROBLEM. BUT PEOPLE PROTESTING LEFTISTS? IT CAN’T BE ALLOWED:  Gov. Inslee calls up National Guard to protect state Capitol. It’s almost like the peons think there’s a right to protest the left when it seizes power! How uncouth! Evil rioters! Racistsexisthomophobes! Bad Thinkers! To the Gullag!

ARE WE ABSOLUTELY SURE THIS ISN’T BEING RUN REMOTELY FROM CHINA? BECAUSE THEY SEEM TO THINK THAT THEY’RE DEALING WITH CHINESE PEASANTS: FBI Agents Raid Homes, Offices of Republican Tennessee Lawmakers.

AS I SAID. MAOISTS DEALING WITH CHINESE PEASANTS:  Conservative #WalkAway Facebook page removed along with hundreds of thousands of videos and followers. At this rate they’re liable to make us angry. They won’t like us when we’re angry.
`

YEAH:  Palm Thursday.

GOOD FOR YOU, MR. CRUZ!  Sen. Cruz Says Electoral Objections Did Not Incite Riot. Perhaps you can extend your truth telling a bit and tell them there wasn’t a riot? Live not by lies.

WELL, WE’RE SCARED, BUT WE AIN’T SHAKING:  Night Terrors.
