Nothing nu

Who Nu? is about the new variant on the covid theme. Are people really this dumb? Why, yes they are.

They’re now trying to shut down everything again and make the world safe again for private jet-flying elites to escape from voters. This time they claim there’s a super-spreading, super-scary new variant of the Wuhan (pardon me, COVID-19) virus from Africa. As far as I’m able to discover there is no test for it, it has actually been around since July and it doesn’t seem particularly fatal. So far it has produced only mild cases. But the taste of totalitarian control has only whetted the desire for more, with the thought of destroying those “deplorable” productive citizens of the middle class an added bonus.

Meanwhile, there is this to consider: UK Cardiologist Highlights Link Between mRNA Vaccines and Heart Disease, While Noting Researchers Withholding Data Fearful of Losing Funding. That is, not only is it necessary to understant that the media are overwhelmingly liars and will not tell you the truth about Covid, so too is the medical profession where virtually no doctor will risk their licence to inform you about the dangers of vaxxines.

20,000/70,000 what’s the difference?

The headline in the Sunday paper today read 20,000 rally in CBD. There were a lot more than that, as I did my own count as the procession passed by on Flinders Street.

This was my calculation. There were approximately 16 persons in each row of the procession. Each row passed by at the rate of one row per second (I took out my watch to time it) which is around 60 per minute. The parade lasted around an hour and a half.

So on my estimate, there were [16 X 60 X 90] people which comes to 86,400. Be conservative and make the estimate 60,000. Come half way back, call it 70,000. A lot more than the papers will want to have been true which is why they have taken that absurdly low estimate.

The paper also mentioned there were no arrests, and why would there be? This was not a crowd of radical lefties trying to instigate a confrontation. It was the most middle class crowd you would ever see. There were a few Eureka Stockade flags but many mothers with their children. These were people who may have had the vax themselves but will fight to the end to prevent their children being mandated these experimental vaxxines.

The papers are still, of course, in full-on scare everyone mode, with this now the top story at The Age: Two Omicron cases confirmed in Sydney. For me, though, the best sign of the day read:

Why are we closing the country because of the 38th most important cause of death in Australia.

Not my stat, but I could not agree more. And if this is true, the people who manage our communal affairs could not be more vile. Sent to me by a colleague.

Schools are having children wear yellow wristbands to easily identify those who have mask exemptions and/or are unvaccinated so that they can be segregated from their peers.

“The task of the Marxist historian”

I’m all for de mortuis nil nisi bonum but there are limits.

The obit for Stuart Macintyre in The Oz certainly is heavily weighted on the bonum side. And what is perhaps worth noting is that there is plenty in what was written even there that should make someone just a bit suspicious. Let me quote from here and there, following the opening sentence: “Stuart Macintyre was the most outstanding Australian historian of his generation.”

In his first published essay, he challenged the “bourgeois ideology” of the Melbourne history school, personified by its founders, Ernest Scott and Max Crawford.

The task of the Marxist historian, he declared, was “the analysis of the full complexity of class oppression”….

His first book, A Proletarian Science, based on his Cambridge doctoral thesis, was on the history of communism, as was his last, The Party – the second volume of his magnum opus, a history of the Australian Communist Party, completed during his last illness….

He remained firmly on the left, and was often critical of historical orthodoxy.

Just to round things out, please read Keith Windschuttle’s essay from 2008: Stuart Macintyre and the Blainey Affair. It does get a mention in the Obit in The Oz: “In 1990 succeeded Geoffrey Blainey as the Ernest Scott professor of history” but you might find out just that bit extra reading Keith’s article.

Where’s the evidence that these vaxxines are actually safe?

Police look on as protesters gather in Melbourne's CBD.

From Melbourne’s ‘freedom’ protest fever spreads across the country but I want you to notice this passage in particular.

“No matter how much misinformation and propaganda you put out there, Victoria is going to win.”

Dr Cumming has appeared regularly at the anti-government protests and has been promoting them online.

She railed against the vaccination of children with a COVID-19 jab and claimed Mr Andrews was “coming after her children”.

The vaccines approved for use in Australia have strong scientific backing as being both safe and effective in preventing COVID-19.

“I want to make this very clear, Daniel, when you come after my children you come after every single Victorian,” Dr Cumming said. “We are together as a freedom family… Good luck Mr Andrews.”

And what I found so remarkable was the second-last para which you will notice has no quotation marks. It is a parenthetical comment made either by the journalist or an editor that completely distorts what Dr Cumming was trying to say.

The vaccines approved for use in Australia have strong scientific backing as being both safe and effective in preventing COVID-19.

What’s more, the statement is false. There is an ocean of evidence related to the dangers related to these vaxxines but you will not read any of it in the mainstream press or see it discussed anywhere in the electronic media.

Which reminds me of this: FDA will wait until 2076 to release Pfizer Vaccine data….

The FDA has asked a federal judge to make the public wait until the year 2076 to disclose all of the data and information it relied upon to license Pfizer’s vaccine.

It wants 55 years to produce this information to the public.

Surely that must make you wonder why they are so reluctant to put this information before the public at the present time, especially if we “have strong scientific backing [that the vaxxines are] both safe and effective in preventing COVID-19.”

MAGA en Español

Mostly I have put this up because I liked the picture, but the story is interesting as well. From The Economist, a magazine of the deep left: A large minority of Hispanic voters support Trump populism. Does that mean that a small majority of Hispanic voters support Biden insanity? Anyway, this is what they say in their sub-head.

This looks catastrophic for the left

For some reason, The Economist prefers “the left” to Donald Trump.

The adverse effects of vaxxines discussed

It is good to see that at least someone is taking these issues on here in Australia: Must Watch: Australian Senator Slams ‘Vaccine’ Side Effects – Inhumane to Force Second Shot. Saw this nowhere else:

During an appearance on Sky News, Australian Senator Gerard Rennick spoke out for the people who have suffered adverse events from Covid shots. Despite the Sky news host trying to silence the Senator, he slammed his government for mandating the experiment mRNA shots, which has caused adverse effects in many people. Furthermore, he called it downright inhumane to force someone to take a second shot if they suffered an adverse event from the first….

It’s bad enough that people aren’t allowed to choose whether to take a vaccine. Still, it’s even worse than they’re forced to get a second vaccine after experiencing a severe side effect. Furthermore, the government doesn’t even offer financial support when they cannot work, exclaimed the Senator. He vowed to continue to fight to ensure people receive immediate income support for those who cannot return to work….

Following the Senator’s October 26, 2021, interview on Sky News, he posted a letter on Facebook that he sent to Austalia’s left-wing Prime Minister, Scott Morrison denouncing his Covid policies. Rennick explained that he would not vote with the government until he enacted several policies, including stopping all vaccines for children, overturning workplace vaccine mandates, and ending coronavirus domestic travel restrictions.

Interesting that the PM is described as “left-wing”.

There is also this which is very much related: Pfizer Tells Kids — Vaccine will give you ‘superpowers’….

Is this not obviously evil?

Who are the risk takers? The unvaxxinated or the vaxxinated?

Sometimes things come to light but you may be sure that those who wish to cover us in darkness do everything they can to stop any of this being made known. And what you would really like to know is why these nurses prefer to stay unvaxxinated.

There is also this which is similar but from the United States: Falsified data: Pfizer vaccine trials had major flaws, whistleblower tells

Who really are the risk-takers? The vaxxinated or the unvaxxinated?

AND THEN THERE’S THIS: Lt. Col. Theresa Long Silenced by U.S. Army After Grounding Pilots Experiencing Adverse Reactions to Covid ‘Vaccines’. She’s the doctor and she saw the problems with her patients but was immediately silenced.

Physician and Army Lieutenant Colonel Theresa Long spoke today during a roundtable discussion organized by Senator Ron Johnson. She reported some very disturbing details of her experiences with patients who had recently been “vaccinated” for Covid-19….

Then, there are the adverse reactions, including death, that have been reported so far. The sheer number of reports is exponentially higher than reports for the last two decades of all other vaccines combined. These details make Lt. Col. Long’s story even more infuriating….

“After I reported to my command my concerns that in one morning I had to ground three out of three pilots due to vaccine injuries, the next day my patients were canceled, my charts were pulled for review, and I was told that I would not be seeing acute patients anymore, just healthy pilots there for their flight physical.”

Since none of the pilots was in any medical danger until they took the vax, why are they insisting on vaxxination and then hiding the problems? There are many many stories just like this, far too many.

The toxic avoidance of truth on the left

The article is titled The Ignoble Lie. It begins about the original defence of political lying going back to Socrates and Plato, but what really interested me was this part about vaxxination rates required in dealing with the pandemic.

Take Dr. Anthony Fauci, our point man on the COVID-19 epidemic.

Fauci said he misled the country about mask-wearing during the pandemic by claiming they were of little use. But he argued that he lied in order that the public not make a run on masks, deplete the supply, and thus rob medical professionals of protective equipment.

Fauci also told “noble” lies about the likely percentage of the public needing to be vaccinated to achieve herd immunity. He kept raising the bar—from 60-70 percent to 75-80 percent, to 85 percent.

Apparently, Fauci feared a lower figure, even if accurate, might lull people into complacency about getting inoculated.

If a 60-70 per cent vaxxination rate will do, why worry when we are well passed that rate? Unless there is some other agenda in play, of course.

Take Florida as the example the left tries to avoid talking about (like Sweden). What can the left do with this? Here is the first half of the heading: Florida now has America’s lowest COVID rate.It begins:

Which U.S. state has the lowest COVID-19 rate right now? …

The state with the fewest daily COVID cases per capita is the same one that recently had more than any other: Florida….

During the past two months, Florida’s daily average has plummeted by more than 90 percent, to about 1,700 cases, or eight for every 100,000 residents. That’s roughly half of California’s current COVID rate and less than a quarter of Vermont’s. Hawaii (with nine cases for every 100,000 residents) is the only other state in single digits.

A positive story. Not on the left, it isn’t. Here’s the second half of the heading: “Does Ron DeSantis deserve credit?”

The answer is no.

Bet you knew that was coming. And why not?

According to the New York Times’s David Leonhardt, “Covid has often followed a regular — if mysterious — cycle. In one country after another, the number of new cases has often surged for roughly two months before starting to fall.” And “the Delta variant, despite its intense contagiousness, has followed this pattern.”

Why it hasn’t happened anywhere else is neither here nor there and anyways, more people are dying which is perhaps not that surprising in a state where so many retirees end up living.

My point, though, is that you cannot get an accurate assessment anywhere. I would love to know how dangerous covid is but it is impossible to find out. I do, however, find the following chart of interest. From here.

AND THIS JUST IN: Florida Reaches Lowest Case Rate in the Nation.

“Without mandates or lockdowns, COVID-19 cases in Florida have decreased 90% since August,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “In addition to cases, hospitalizations have plummeted in our state. This has been accomplished by making monoclonal antibody treatments and vaccines widely available throughout our state while protecting Floridians from government overreach.”

Do the clowns at The Age even know what freedom is?

Here is this story about the totalitarian takeover of Victoria by its utterly mad premier: Victorian Bar slams ‘appalling’ new pandemic laws and there in the middle of the story we find this as an insert in the midst of the story:

Victoria edges closer to freedom

The Victorian government has announced changes to the road map from Friday, October 29, as the state will reach its 80 per cent double dose vaccination target almost a week ahead of schedule. Here’s how some of the restrictions will ease when the 90 per cent double dose vaccination target is reached for people 12 years and over – now predicted to occur around Wednesday, November 24.

Victoria is in no sense whatsoever edging towards anything other than a fascist state. The actual situation is that we are moving very far away from freedom and into government by decree. This is actually where we now find ourselves.

The president of the Victorian Bar has slammed the state’s new pandemic legislation as “appalling” and claims the government “grossly misrepresented” its consultation with the barristers’ peak body.

Christopher Blanden, QC, said the new laws, designed to replace sweeping state of emergency powers, would give the Premier unprecedented power with little to no checks and balances.

“Stasi police would have been more than happy with the range of powers if they were given it,” Mr Blanden told The Age. “It’s extraordinary.”

Meanwhile, to the extent they are able, the Victorian Opposition has come to life: Victorian parliament descends into chaos ahead of public health laws debate.

Victorian politicians have screamed at each other and yelled insults across the table during a heated discussion over proposed pandemic laws that are set to bring unprecedented powers to the Victorian Premier and Health Minister if passed this week.

Premier Daniel Andrews was labelled a “dictator” during the chaotic screaming match between Labor and Liberal politicians amid a push to delay debate of the new pandemic powers the government is hoping to rush through parliament over three days this week.

The proposed laws, introduced to state parliament on Tuesday, would give the Premier power to declare a pandemic for three months at a time and allow Health Minister Martin Foley to sign off on public health orders without the approval of the chief health officer.

The insanity of it all is that I know far too many on the Labor side of things who do not see any problem whatsoever in anything Andrews has done or is doing. These may be the most politically ignorant people I have ever met and there are plenty of them out there.

And since you won’t find this anywhere else, these are some of the details of the proposed legislation via Opposition Leader  Matthew Guy.

Victorians are today witnessing the most extreme, dangerous and excessive laws ever brought before our state.

In one Bill, Daniel Andrews is attempting to sideline the Victorian Chief Health Officer and grant himself unchecked power to declare a State of Emergency and decree health orders based on an individual’s age, gender, sexual orientation and political belief or activity.

This legislation would remove any consideration of the impact of lockdowns, restrictions or penalties on equal opportunity or human rights laws, bypass Cabinet and Parliamentary approvals and place enormous power in the hands of one person.

Under these laws Victorians face a $21,909 fine for failing to wear a face mask and business a $109,044 fine if a customer fails to check-in properly.

These new laws aren’t about streamlining State of Emergency powers but about making it easier for the State Government to control people’s lives.

Daniel Andrews wouldn’t be passing these laws unless he planned on using them. The thought of handing even more power to the person who got us into this mess is simply unacceptable.

This extreme legislation is a threat to every Victorian family, small business and local community. It must be stopped.

The Victorian Liberal Nationals will stand up for Victorians and oppose this dangerous legislation.
