The totalitarian invariant

That there is an agenda in play has never been in doubt, and that that agenda is at most tangentially related to limiting the harm from Covid has also never been in doubt. Which is why this is both interesting but also entirely irrelevant: CDC Director Makes Case Vaccination Passports are Futile, Vaccines Do Not Prevent COVID Infection or Delta Variant Transmission. The Director of the CDC made an important admission during an interview today on CNN.   CDC Director Rochelle Walensky stated the vaccine does not prevent COVID-19 infection, nor does it stop the vaccinated person from transmitting the infection or the delta variant.  According to Director Walensky, the only benefit from the vaccine now is presumably that it reduces the severity of symptoms.

If a vaccinated and non-vaccinated person have the same capacity to carry, shed and transmit the virus – with or without symptoms – then what difference does a vaccination passport or vaccination ID make?

And as the article concludes:

In Gibraltar, 99% of the population vaccinated; COVID infection rate climbs.  In Iceland over 75% of population vaccinated; infection rate climbs.  Singapore and Israel show the same thing [Data Sets Here].  So what value is the vaccination passport?

And in this case it was their bolding. The value of the vaxxination passport is, of course, political and not medical. And then there is this: CDC NOT MANDATING ITS EMPLOYEES TO BE VAXED. 

A concerned citizen contacted the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta, GA yesterday and spoke to multiple employees. When asked if the CDC was mandating its employees to inject themselves with the experimental gene therapy called a ‘vaccine’ for the CCP virus, they pushed back, got defensive, and finally said no, they are not mandating CDC employees receive the ‘vaccine’ for Covid-19, which has not even been tested on animals and is still experimental, under an emergency use authorization only.

What an admission! And it’s not even that they do not compel their employees to be vaxxed, but that many of them do not want to. That the people who should be best informed about the vaxx and its consequences are at all hesitant is quite something of a revelation. Nor should we forget this:

And they’re right. Australia is Under Dystopian, Military-Enforced Lockdown Despite Less Than 5 COVID Deaths a Day. Obviously whoever wrote this thinks Australian governments are exaggerating our problems and over-reacting in an hysterical way to threats from the Chinese flu.

Melbourne, a major Australian city, just entered its 6th lockdown. (Yes, you read that correctly). It joins many of the nation’s other major metropolises, such as Sydney and Brisbane, in once again restricting its economy and social life. According to the BBC, the lockdown will be in place until at least August 28 and “bars people from leaving their home except for essential exercise, shopping, caregiving and other reasons.”

“Our people are [poor and]  they already feel picked on and marginalised,” Cumberland Mayor Steve Christou told the BBC. “They can’t afford to pay the mortgage, the rent, the food or work. Now to throw out the army to enforce lockdown on the streets is going to be a huge issue to these people.”

It’s mind-boggling that the Australian government is practically placing its citizens under house arrest and outlawing their incomes over five deaths per day. It’s particularly bizarre given that countless studies have shown the ineffectiveness of stay-at-home orders and lockdown policies. (In fact, most COVID-19 spread happens at home.)

And the conclusion.

It’s inexplicable. If lockdowns could really vanquish COVID-19, why would Australian cities be on their sixth one? And how could a handful of deaths per day in a nation of 25 million possibly justify such draconian measures and using the military to crack down on citizens?

Ultimately, it’s not our responsibility here in the US to answer these questions. But there’s a bigger lesson we can take away from watching such a totalitarian policy descend upon a Western, advanced society like Australia. If we are not vigilant, it can happen here….

Americans must heed this warning, lest we end up meeting Australia’s sad fate.

Alas, it has happened here. Australia’s reaction to Covid really is pathetic and genuinely shameful.

Pfizer CEO is vaxx-hesitant

It’s a post from March but wonder if things are now any different: Pfizer CEO’s Israel visit canceled because he is not fully vaccinated. This is the sub-head:

Bourla said in December that he has not yet received the vaccine yet because he does not want to “cut in line.”

Four months later he still had not had the vaxx. He must know something he is not saying. And there is no doubting that he could get a vaccination certificate if he wanted one, with or without the vaxx, so there are lots of questions his reluctance to be vaccinated must raise.

LET ME ADD THIS: No hesitancy allowed, and certainly not in public: Fact check: Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla received COVID-19 vaccine from USA Today, a standard issue piece of journalistic rubbish that will allow no counter story to exist if they can help it. So bear this in mind as you read the text, that if someone were in any way worried about Covid, and if they thought the vaccine would be a net positive in maintaining their health, they would not hesitate for a nanosecond to take the vaxx. So here is what he said.

The video features a CNBC interview with Bourla in which he is asked when he will get vaccinated. In response, he says that he is 59 years old, in good health and is not working on the front lines, so he “is not recommended to get vaccinated now.”

“As soon as I can, I will. The only sensitivity here, Meg, is that I don’t want to have an example that I’m cutting the line,” Bourla says in the video, which also includes a clip of Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. 

So why should anyone who is in good health, not old and not working on the front lines not get the vaxx if they can? So we come back to what I said before, there are lots of questions raised by his example, the most important being why he would not be gung ho to take the vaxx himself as soon as he could. And here is the supposed proof, and it is astonishing how similar he looks to a certain premier of Victoria.

Samuel Johnson, writing in 1756, “An Introduction to the Political State of Great-Britain”. Here he discusses how the French ended up in Quebec.

About this time, it was, that the French first began to turn their thoughts to traffick and navigation, and to desire like other nations an American territory. All the fruitful and valuable parts of the western world were already either occupied or claimed, and nothing remained for France but the leavings of other navigators, for she was not yet haughty enough to seize what the neighbouring powers had already appropriated.

The French therefore contented themselves with sending a colony to Canada, a cold uncomfortable uninviting region, from which nothing but furrs [sic] and fish were to be had, and where the new inhabitants could only pass a laborious and necessitous life in perpetual regret of the deliciousness and plenty of their native country….

In this region of desolate sterility they settled themselves, upon whatever principle; and as they have from that time had the happiness of a government by which no interest has been neglected, nor any part of their subjects overlooked, they have, by continual encouragement and assistance from France, been perpetually enlarging their bounds and increasing their numbers….

The French settlement in the mean time went slowly forward, too inconsiderable to raise any jealousy, and too weak to attempt any incroachments. (Johnson [1756] 1968: 6-8)

I also found this quite interesting, also about Quebec.

[As for Quebec] their greater security is the friendship of the natives, and to this advantage they have certainly an indubitable right; because it is the consequence of their virtue. It is ridiculous to imagine, that the friendship of nations, whether civil or barbarous, can be gained and kept but by kind treatment; and surely they who intrude, uncalled, upon the country of a distant people, ought to consider the natives as worthy of common kindness, and content themselves to rob without insulting them. The French, as has been already observed, admit the Indians, by intermarriage, to an equality with themselves, and those nations, with which they have no such near intercourse, they gain over to their interest by honesty in their dealings. Australian man has heart attack while being arrested for not wearing mask while exercising

From Australian Man Suffers Suspected Heart Attack While Under Arrest For Not Wearing a Mask.

A shocking video out of Brisbane, Australia shows an elderly man suffering a suspected heart attack after he was arrested by police for not wearing a mask outside while exercising.

The incident occurred in Brisbane Botanical Gardens on Monday while the man was walking. He has a mask exemption due to his medical condition.

The clip shows the man being handcuffed while complaining about his wrists hurting. A woman who is accompanying the elderly man tries to answer the questions police officers are asking about the man’s place of work.

“Absolutely disgraceful,” says the woman as the man is led away.

The video then cuts to him having a violent seizure as he appears to suffer a heart attack.

Police remove the handcuffs as the elderly man desperately reaches for his medicine while the woman shouts, “Just let me get it for God’s sake!”

“Police allegedly joked when he had a seizure that they did not believe he had heart problems that warranted the mask exemption,” reports Rebel Media. “The man’s heart medication was revealed to be in a plastic bag in his backpack.”

An Instagram user called _josephmerlino claiming to be the man’s son posted a message asserting, “My father could have suffered brain damage from this. Permanent injury or death. All for what because of a mask?”

“Police are supposed to serve and protect and there is none of that is happening here,” he stated.

The footage once again underscores that thanks to the country’s brutal enforcement of its disastrous ‘zero COVID’ policy, Australia is no longer a free country.

A nation cannot think sanely under the influence of a great fear

With the direct implication, that if a government wishes to drive a population under its control insane, give them something to fear.

Which is what makes this so relevant: Editor-in-Chief of Germany’s Top Newspaper Apologizes For Fear-Driven COVID Coverage.

The editor-in-chief of Germany’s top newspaper Bild has apologized for the news outlet’s fear-driven coverage of COVID, specifically to children who were told “that they were going to murder their grandma.”

In a speech delivered to camera, Julian Reichelt said sorry for Bild’s coverage which was “like poison” and “made you feel like you were a mortal danger to society.”

Reichelt directed his main sentiment towards children who have been terrorized by fearmongering media coverage which has caused child depression and suicides to soar across the world.

“When a state steals the rights of a child, it must prove that by doing so it protects him against concrete and imminent danger. This proof has never been provided. It has been replaced by propaganda presenting the child as a vector of the pandemic.”

Hardly unique, but it is something to apologise for. And not just the media, but our governments as well.

THE MASKING OF AMERICA: Faceless people make compliant subjects, not good citizens.

In its worldwide impact, the COVID-19 pandemic has been the worst in a century. As a threat to Americans’ health, however, it is closer to the 1968 Hong Kong flu or the 1957 Asian flu—neither of which noticeably altered Americans’ everyday lives—than to the 1918 Spanish flu. In a head-to-head comparison, COVID-19 makes the Spanish flu look like the Black Death of medieval Europe. According to the best available figures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and elsewhere, the typical American under the age of 40 in 1918 was more than 100 times as likely to die of the Spanish flu than the typical American under the age of 40 in 2020 was to die of COVID-19. Whereas COVID-19 sadly shortened the lives of many older people already in poor health, the Spanish flu took people in the prime of life and left orphans in its wake.

Americans’ reaction to COVID-19, however, has been radically different from their behavior in 1968, 1957, or even 1918. Writing in the Wall Street Journal, the Hoover Institution’s Niall Ferguson recalls that President Dwight Eisenhower asked Congress for $2.5 million in additional funding for the Public Health Service during the Asian flu. Overall, Congress has authorized about 2 million times that much for COVID-19. In 1957, there were no widespread school closures, travel bans, or mask mandates. Ferguson quotes one person’s recollection of those days: “For those who grew up in the 1930s and 1940s, there was nothing unusual about finding yourself threatened by contagious disease. Mumps, measles, chicken pox, and German measles swept through entire schools and towns; I had all four…. We took the Asian flu in stride.”

One major difference between then and now is the increased role of public health officials. Long before their ascension, Socrates made clear in Plato’s Republic that he did not want doctors to rule. Philosophers or even poets would be better governors of society, because they at least attempt to understand political and social life in its entirety and minister to the human soul. Doctors, by contrast, tend to disregard the soul: it is the nature of their art to focus on the body in lieu of higher concerns. Moreover, Greek philosophers and poets alike celebrated courage in the face of death—Plato’s Socrates and Homer’s Achilles were undeterred from their noble missions by fear of the grave. But rule by public health officials, under which we increasingly live today, encourages excessive risk-aversion and almost transforms cowardice into a virtue.

Cowardly citizens are easier to rule.

It’s quite apparent that there is more to the official reaction to Covid than trying to limit the harm done from this particular virus, as discussed here: Fearmongering Has Done More Damage Than the Virus.

I am as much interested in what he has to say as where he is from, being a “contributing science columnist for the New York Times. There is no actual truth content in any story from the modern media unless it helps to reinforce some other agenda. Where is this heading if this is what he writes?

The panic was started by journalists beginning in March 2020, when the Imperial College COVID-19 Response Team released “Report 9” on the impact of nonpharmaceutical interventions (NPSs) to reduce deaths and health care demand from COVID-19.2

The report’s computer model projected that intensive care units in the U.S. would be overrun, with 30 COVID-19 patients for every available bed, and 2.2 million dead by summer.3They concluded that “epidemic suppression is the only viable strategy at the current time,”4 which led to lockdowns, business and school closures and population-wide social distancing. But as Tierney noted:5

“What had originally been a limited lockdown — ‘15 days to slow the spread’ — became long-term policy across much of the United States and the world.

A few scientists and public-health experts objected, noting that an extended lockdown was a novel strategy of unknown effectiveness that had been rejected in previous plans for a pandemic. It was a dangerous experiment being conducted without knowing the answer to the most basic question: Just how lethal is this virus?”

Now we know the virus wasn’t all that lethal but there is still the full court press pretty well everywhere else, but not here. It has been absurd from the start, but the question now is whether there is now an agenda in letting the actual truth come out.

In  a similar vein, let me also bring this to your attention: At Every Level, Government Has Botched the Covid Response. Lots there but let me focus on this which is not new but is just as true for being old news.

PCR testing was never intended as a diagnostic tool, according to its Nobel Prize-winning inventor.  The test shoves a swab up your nose and scrapes around for everything, and then the PCR procedure amplifies what’s in the background. As inventor Kary Mullis says, “It allows you to take a miniscule amount of anything and make it measureable and then talk about it.”

If the sample results are amplified 35 times, everyone would test negative.  If the sample results are amplified 60 times, everyone would test positive.

Thus, what nobody really knows or understands is that the number of positive cases are likely vastly over-reported.  Yet because the government proclaimed it the gold standard, it became the gold standard, because the government was so terrified of Covid that it had to lock onto something that gave it the feeling of control.  “Here’s a test!  Let’s go with it!” The result was an unreliable test that produced unreliable data that was presented as gospel.

It’s not that “nobody really knows”, it is that lots of people know but don’t care. There is an agenda in play and that works for those who are trying to set the agenda.
